fired!”
The call abruptly ended as Caspian angrily threw the phone to the floor.
Suddenly, as it recalling something, he picked it up and walled toward the door.
Meanwhile, in a maternity ward, a woman with a grotesque face violently thrw objects around, screaming uncontrollably, “Get out! All of you, get out!”
The nurses, clearly fed up, shouted back, “You’re the one who should leave! You’ve been here long enough without paying your bills! How can someone be this shameless?
With a strick, Elsie threw a cup at the use. “Get lost!”
“What a madwoman,” the nurse mustered under her breath. As she stormed out, the nearly crashed into a tall man outside the ward,
*M–Mr. Beliwether,” the nurse stammered.
Caspian nodded slightly. After bypassing her, he cloud the door behind him.
The room was a mess. The woman on the bed was breathing heavily, malding her look all the more repulsive.
Sering Caspian, she didn’t even try to act innocent anymore. “Why are you here? Get out!”
Caspian ignored her, stepping closer and lifting her face with his hand. He clicked his tongue and remarked, “How ugly.”
Elsie wanted to slap him across the face, but he quickly grabbed her wrist and pushed her backward. She slammed into the wall with a thud.
“Looks like you haven’t leamed your lesson,” he said coldly
The memory of the hundred cuts on her face brought a flash of fear to her eyts.
“W–What do you want to do?” she stammered.
Caspian leaned in closer and patted her face. “Don’t be seated.”
In the next instant, he dragged her to the floor, pulling her out of the ward like she was a ragdoll
She screamed in agony as her freslily liealed scars reopened, bland seeping through as she was dragged across the floor-
But no one can to her ald,
At that moment, Alena appeared, holding her grandson in her amis.
When she saw the scene unfolding in front of her, she immediately screamed
She hastily ordered the bodyguards to pull Lisie away from Caspian, then slapped his hard across the lace
Have you lost your mind? She’s the mother of your cluld!”
Casplan’s head jerked to the side from the force of the slap. He poked the inside of his check with his tongue
“She’s not the mother of my child, Mon, don’t forget. We agreed that she only needs to give birth to the baby. You won’t interfere with what happens to her after
Alena glanced at Elsie, who had been returned to her ward, then looked at the baby in her arms.
A flicker of pity crossed her face. “just think of it as doing some good for the baby. We’ll send her away once she’s recovered.” Casplan seemed to have thought of something. A flash of nithlessness crossed his eyes before it faded back into calm.
Fine
In the following months, Elsie’s life took a dramatic tum
er, she felt more at ease.
Thanks to Alena’s connections, the hospital staff treated her with respect. And without the threat of Captan hanging over her, By the time she was discharged, she had visibly gained weight.
Though she didn’t get custody of the child, Alena had given her a massive check that would last her for the rest of her life.

Chapter 17
When Elsie woke up again, she saw Caspian sitting on the couch in front of her
She scrambled to get up, retreating as fast as she could. “What do you want, Caspian? I’ve already given you a child. We’re done now!”
Caspian sneered as he stood up, holding a cop in his hand, and slowly walked toward her.
“Done? How could we be done? You mined Shannon’s face behind my back and almost had her assaulted. We still haven’t settled the score for that.”
Fisie’s eyes widened in fear, and her body trembled. But then, as if recalling something, she suddenly stood up and stared at him.
“What do you mean, a score? If you hadn’t indulged me, I would have never found the chance to hurt her.”
The more she spoke, the more confident she became. She smiled mockingly.
“Come to think of it, we’re accomplices, aren’t we? You’re quick to point out my faults, but what about yours?”
Caspian’s eyes flickered with pain as he muttered bitterly, “I’m at fault, and I’ll atone for it. But before that, I’ll drag you to hell first.” Elsie seemed to realize something. She tumed and tried to flee.
“Stop her”
A swarm of bodyguards rushed toward her and pinned her to the ground.

“No! No! Caspian, you can’t do this to me! Please, for the sake of the child I gave you, let me go!‘
As she spoke, her panic deepened, and tears streamed down her face uncontrollably.
Caspian crouched in front of her and gripped her chin with a cruel look in his eyes.
“Child? You’ve never given me a child. That child is mine and Shannon’s! You don’t deserve to have given me a child!”
Elsie shook her head in terror. The next moment, he shoved a glass of water intoler mouth.
Once the restraints were loosened, she fell to the ground, gagging, desperately trying to expel the water she had just drink
“Don’t waste your effort. Even if you drank just a drop, it’s still effective,” Caspian said, lounging back on the couch as he watched her with detached interest.
Elsie’s tace tumed pale. As she tried to rush forward, the effects of the drug began to take hold. Her body grew unbearably hot, and she couldn’t stop the moans escaping her throat.
It didn’t take long for her to realize what had been done to her She had been drugged.
As she writhed in discomfort, Casplan gave a satisfied smile and clapped his hands.
Soun, a group of people–dirty and dishevelled–was brought in.
These were all familiar faces, including her “friends” and the homeless mens had called to assault Shannon.
“W–What are you going to do?” she stammered.
Caspian crossed his legs. “Don’t you love men? I’ll give you a chance to sleep with all them!”
Before she could react, the drugged men lunged at her. At once, the room descended into chaos.
A sudden flash of lightning siluminated Elsie’s pale face.
Caspian casually walked towed the door.
As he opened it, a fee storm of wind and rain poured in. He slowly opened a black umbrella and made his way down the stairs.
