Chapter 83 

Katrina’s POV 

I stood outside Silas’s office, time seeming to stretch longer than usual as I paced 

For some reason, I felt nervous along with something else I couldn’t quite place. 

Blair was there with him. I couldn’t stop picturing her sng face leaning to close to him, whispering things I didn’t want to 

Do they know each other? Why did it seem as if she was close to bim 

Why did he ask me to stay outside just to leave me waiting outside like this? Different thoughts ran through my head, each one leading to Silas having some sort of thing with Blair. 

I’ve heard of student and professor relationships, is that what Silis had with Blair? 

The thought of it made my blood boil and I spun around, marching to his door to pull it open. 

Before my fingers touched the handle, the door creaked open, Bhair stepping out. 

She had been laughing about something Silas had said as she pulled the door shut, her eyes clashing with my furious ones 

She didn’t even pretend to be surprised to see me. Instead, she paused, her eyes narrowing before a sly smile spread across her lips. 

For some reason. I hated her more than anything right now. 

‘Still waiting for him to throw you a bone?” she sneered, her voice breaking the awkward silence between us..

“Nothing.” I replied, keeping my tone as neutral as possible. 

His eyes narrowed, “Don’t lie to me.” My eyes turned to slits as matched his stare. Why was he sounding like I did. something wrong? Was he so concerned about what Blair had aard met 

“I could ask you the same. Who is that chick to you?” I folded my arms across my chest as I waited for him to speak

“She’s Phillip’s niece. My mind went back to the time Phillip had tortured me and I shuddered. 

Wait, Phillip’s niece? That means they have some sort of relationship and are close. 

The nuts in my head turned and the words were past my lips before I could realize what was happening 

“So you must have fucked her then. You seem to have a thing for nieces and she knows who you belong to,” 

I couldn’t stop the words from coming out, but I didn’t regret them. 

Silas‘ jaw tightened, his expression darkening. He closed the distance between us in two long strides, his presence suffocating

“Do you think you’re in control here?” he murmured, his tone deceptively soft. 

Before I could respond, there was a sharp knock at the door. Silas straightened, his expression hardening as he called out, ‘Come in. 

The door opened, and Aiden stepped inside, clutching a notebook. His eyes darted between Silas and me, confusion lickering across his face. 

Vhat? Never seen your professor pinning a coursemate to the wall? 

I–I had a question about the assignment, Aiden stammered, his voice hesitant as he stared at me once more before. irning back to Silas.

“Do you always interrupt without thinking?” Silas asked, his tone deceptively calm. 

Aiden shifted uncomfortably, his grip tightening on his notebook. “I didn’t mean to interrupt. I just wanted clarification- 

“Next time, you’ll email me,” Silas cut in, his voice sharp. “Now get out” 

Aiden hesitated, his eyes flicking to me one last time before he nodded and slipped out the door. 

What was the point of telling him to stay if he would just onder him out that way. I couldn’t understand Silas, but I said nothing.

gone, Silas turned back to me, his expression colder than ever. 

“Stay away from him,” he said, his voice low and commanding. 

“What?” I asked, my heart pounding. 

“You heard me,” he said, stepping closer. “He’s nothing but trouble, and I won’t have him distracting you” 

“But you were the one who asked me to seduce him,” I spat out the word seduce, glaring hard. 

“Well plans have changed. Blair would deal with it,” 

I bristled at his tone, anger flaring despite my fear. “You don’t get to decide who I talk to, Silas. This is school, not your personal kingdom.” 

His hand shot out, gripping my jaw with just enough force to make me freeze. “Don’t test me, Katrina,” he warned, his voice a dangerous whisper. 

My breath hitched, and I stared up at him, my pulse racing. For a moment, the room felt like it was closing in around us, the tension crackling like a live wire.

He released me, and I stumbled back, my legs shaky. 

“Now go,” he said, turning away as if nothing had happened. “And Katrina?” 

I paused at the door, my hand trembling on the knob. 

“Blair isn’t your biggest problem. Keep that in mind.”
