Chapter 4

My stomach grumbled for what seemed to be the fourth time this morning, a subtle reminder that I hadn’t eaten anything

since I came here.

Groaning, I rubbed my stomach, trying to soothe the pain a little

The lock clicked and my eyes snapped to the door immediately immediately Silas had stepped out a few hours ago, he locked me in here.

What was I supposed to do in a room with no book, TV, and not even my cellphone?

I pushed up from where 1 sat, walking slowly to the door.

Was this a trap? I had no idea what to expect since I was a captive and all.

Pulling the door open. I poked my head out, looking both ways. The hallway was empty but I could hear voices some distance away

My stomach grumbled once more and I knew I had to find something to eat.

Following the voices. I turned a corner to see two huge men with guns talking to each other.

“I wonder what he was thinking when he decided to get married to her,

His voice was dripping with disgust and I knew they were referring to me. Coming into your enemy’s territory wasn’t the best thing to do.

My stomach grumbled once more and they both turned to me immediately, their guns pointed at my face.

My heart dropped with the guns in my face and I raised my hand in surrender.

What the fuck are you doing out of your room?” One of the men growled at me, making no move to take the gun

He had an Italian accent and his arms were riddled with tattoos

“Silas had said that-” I started to explain but I was cut short by the sound of the gun being cocked.

“If you say his name one more time with so much disrespect, you wouldn’t like what Td do”

So what was I supposed to call him? Uncle Silas? Boss Silas?

The boss seemed better in this situation.

“Boss… I started and he nodded his head curtly, giving me the go–ahead to continue.

“Boss Silas asked me to get myself whatever I wanted, and right now I’m hungry and I need to find food,” I said all in one breath, hoping he would take me to the kitchen.

“Did he say that?” He asked me once more, seeming suspicious.

Well Silas didn’t say it that way, but…

“Yes, he did,” I replied with no hesitation.

Not like he’s going to ask Silas to repeat the words he told me earlier.

Both men slowly brought their guns down. My eyes finally go to the other guy and I catch him staring at me lustfully.

Chapter 4

His eyes raked down my body, to my legs, and back up.

“My eyes are up here,” I hissed, moving past them and down the hallway.

“Kitchen?” I turned around to ask and the first guy asked the other to show me where it was.

“Move,” he hissed, hitting my back with his gun nozzle.

I was going to do so without you hitting me, I rolled my eyes as I kept walking

I felt his eyes on me the entire time, making me feel uncomfortable.

“Turn left,” He growled and I immediately complied,

I ignored the looks 1 got from everyone I had passed, cause they all stared at me the same way.

We got to the kitchen and he stopped at the door.

“Clean up whatever mess you make, a maid said as she walked past me, her shoulders brushing against mine.

I turned to look at her, my jaw hanging open in disbelief.

I was going to do so without her saying it.

Shaking my head, I head straight for the pantry.

I didn’t want to stay here for too long, so I made something light for myself. Throwing all the ingredients into a pot, I waited.

“What’s your name?” I asked the man who had followed me here

He leaneti against the wall with his gun in his hands, staring at me with a straight face.

I waited there patiently for a name that never came and when it got too awkward, I turned back to my food.

“That was weird,” I muttered.

I knew I hadn’t imagined the look he had given me earlier, but, maybe he thought it was a crazy idea to lust after the boss‘ wife

Cleaning up the little mess I made in the kitchen, I slapped my food into a bowl and took it with me.

With no words said, I walked past him going the same way we had come from

“Boss said you should keep an eye on her,”

We had gotten to where I met the two of them, and the first man was still standing there.

It seemed like he was standing guard.

His face turned to a scowl the moment he saw me and I rolled my eyes at him.

Why would Silas decide that I needed a watchdog? There was no way I would be able to escape with the amount of people keeping guards here.

Chapter 4

With no words of complaint, my watchdog nodded his head and followed behind me,

I still felt uncomfortable with him being behind, but what could do?

When we got to my room, I ran in immediately, slamming the door shut,

Call it paranoia, but growing up with someone like Chris made me self–aware all the time.

I couldn’t trust anyone who gave me a lustful stare even if it was for just a second.

I stood in front of the door, my empty plate in hand. Watchdog stood right across my room, and each time I pulled the door open he stared.

Taking a deep breath, I decided to just get it over and done with doubt he would try anything here.

Pulling the door open. I met his stare once more, and once again his eyes raked over my features which made me feel uncomfortable.

Where are you going?” He asked, his deep voice reverberating, don’t think I heard him speak earlier.

“I need to wash this” I lifted the bowl so he’d see what I was talking about and he nodded.

“Let me do it. He answered, stepping closer to me with his hand stretched.

The moment he took a step closer, warning bells rang in my head and I immediately took my back, stepping into my room

He arched a brow when he noticed my step back but he didn’t say anything

His hand was still outstretched, and he stared at me, waiting for me to put the plates in his hands.

Sighing. I decided to do as he said.

My facial fingers grasped the edge of the vote, giving him enough space to take it without touching me.

I gasped when he held my wrist, and I pulled my hands away. The bowl fell to the floor, clattering as it rolled away

Without any hesitation, I took a hurried step back, slamming the door shut.

Before it could close, his meaty hand slammed against the door pushing it back.

I gasped once again, pushing back.

“What- what are you doing? I stuttered as I watched him walk in He ignored my question, turning to lock the door.

“Td scream,” I threatened, opening my mouth to show him that meant it

I could hear my heart beating wildly in fear of what he was going to do to me

I had to take my chances

Then do that, scream. Who would come save you?” He dared, staring at me mockingly.

I knew he was right, no one was going to save me. Even if they heard me scream, I doubt they would bother with why.

But that didn’t stop me from screaming. Taking a deep breath, let out a loud shriek.

His eyes widened and he slapped his hand against my mouth, shutting me up.

Chapter 4

“Are you fucking insine? He hissed at me, staring in anger.

So he was scáted, but of what!

My eyes darted to the door, and back to him.

I needed to find a way to the door and escape but I only had one try.

Biting into his palm, I raised my legs to kick his groin with as much force as I could.

He cursed as he dropped to his knees, his face squeezed in pain

Using this chance, I took off to the door, turning the latch. The onsent I opened the door, it got slammed shut and I was pulled back again.

I bit back tears when my face turned to the side, my cheek stinging

“You little whore” He growled, biting into my neck. He slammeda palm against my lips to stop me from screaming, using the other to tear the clothes apart.
