The man had gone pale but he didn’t dare say a word in protest. Greyven’s word was final. My brother ignored the young man and made his way to him.
His anger had drained into a look of concern. “Are you okay?“[]

The young man grabbed her hand roughly, ready to leave the store with her. I bit my lip. I couldn’t just let her get away with what she did.

They turned to look at me. Tina in particular, had a look of pure fury burning in her eyes. I acted unfazed, making my way towards her.

Tears began to fall down her cheeks as her eyes reddened. Her mascara was already running down her face. She looked miserable.

“You think I’m protecting you?” I shook my head. “No. I’m protecting the pack’s dignity. It doesn’t matter if you live or die, but I’m announcing now that if you continue to treat me with such disrespect, I’ll add your name to the pack’s industry blacklist, and you won’t be allowed to continue shopping.”
