Chapter 41
She sent me another nasty glare, and then one at Cyrene. I could feel the anger boiling beneath my skin as I continued to stare at her. She thought she knew what she was doing. This would come to bite her in the ass and I was just bidding my time.
The salesman looked nervous as he looked at each of us. I knew he wouldn’t do anything, for fear of earning Tina’s wrath. I wasn’t scared of her though.]
“Well, what are you waiting for?” She yelled at him. “Get rid of them!“]
The salesman still didn’t move. He wouldn’t dare lay a finger on me. He looked like a scared cat, his whole form slowly trembling.
I let out a laugh as I watched her. “You really love embarrassing yourself, don’t you?“]
Seeing that the salesman wasn’t going to do anything, she stomped towards him in anger. Her eyes blazed with a certain fury as she raised her hand to strike him.[]
Without thinking, I stepped in front of the man and she froze, her hand still in the air. Her eyes narrowed on me and I could tell she was recalculating her plans.
“Get out of my way, you mutt.” She glared at me.]
I didn’t move one inch, staring her down with as much intensity as she was using to glare at me. She bit her lip in frustration, about to say something else, when someone stepped out from behind Greyven and made his way to us.]] ·

could react, he slapped her hard across the face. She looked momentarily stunned as she stared at the
He looked angry. “Who do you think you are to represent the pack, huh?”
“B–Brother.” Tina stuttered, still nursing her cheek. She looked scared to the bone
I looked between them, noting the resemblance they shared. So this was Tina’s man. He had a tall and imposing stature, his glare fixed solely on her.]
“I think I’ll take it from here.“[]
Greyven walked into the centre of the room. Tina froze, her face going pale as soon as she heard his voice.
It was like the temperature of the room had dropped. No one dared say a word now that Greyven was here.[]
You could hear the sound of a pin dropping with how silent the whole place had gone.]
“I heard that your family owns this building now.” Greyven narrowed his eyes on the man. []
The man shook his head, a bead of sweat coming down his forehead. “Well, actually-“]
“That’s fine.” Greyven took out his phone. “I’ll have my beta contact the board of directors. Your family is to be kicked out of the pack.”

Chapter 41
The man had gone pale but he didn’t dare say a word in protest. Greyven’s word was final. My brother ignored the young man and made his way to him.
His anger had drained into a look of concern. “Are you okay?“[]
“I’m fine.” I nodded, watching Tina carefully.
The young man grabbed her hand roughly, ready to leave the store with her. I bit my lip. I couldn’t just let her get away with what she did.
“Wait!” I called out to them.]
They turned to look at me. Tina in particular, had a look of pure fury burning in her eyes. I acted unfazed, making my way towards her.
Tina. You should apologize to Cyrene for hitting her.” I said calmly.
Tina’s anger went straight to the roof. “Why should I apologize to this lowly excuse of a woman? You want me, to apologize to someone who’s boarding at the Luciano family house. What a fucking joke.”
Tina whined as her brother’s grip on her hand tightened. “You will apologize now or else…
Tears began to fall down her cheeks as her eyes reddened. Her mascara was already running down her face. She looked miserable.
She turned to Cyrene. “I’m sorry.“]]
Her brother turned to us and bowed his head. “We’re sorry for all the trouble.”
Without another word, he dragged his sister out of the building. I let out a breath. That was one thing done.
I made my way to Cyrene who still had tears in her eyes. “Are you okay?“]
She turned to me, her eyes unreadable. Her gaze would occasionally flicker to Greyven and she would look even more scared.
Even if she wanted to snap at me, she couldn’t do that since my brother was here. She leaned closer to me.
“You think I’ll be grateful?” she scoffed. “Dream on! I will always hate you so long as I still breathe.”
She pulled away from me, about to leave, when I dragged her back by the arm. I wasn’t about to let that disrespect slide just like that.
“You think I’m protecting you?” I shook my head. “No. I’m protecting the pack’s dignity. It doesn’t matter if you live or die, but I’m announcing now that if you continue to treat me with such disrespect, I’ll add your name to the pack’s industry blacklist, and you won’t be allowed to continue shopping.”
