Chapter 31
My mind was filled with so many thoughts and I could barely keep track of any of them. No matter how mad I was at him for what he did, it wouldn’t change the fact that he was the man I’d been in love with.[]
He’d taken care of me in the past when I was sick. If I closed my eyes, I could still see the tender look in his eyes as he treated me with love during my illness.
My gaze fell on the phone which was resting on the vanity table. The guilt was eating at me and it was hard trying to ignore it. Without thinking, I reached for the phone, about to call his number back.
“Hey little sis,” Olavir’s head popped into the room before he entered.]
I dropped the phone, pushing the thought of what I’d wanted to the furthest parts of my brain. The maids moved away from me so I could see my brother properly.
“You ready?” he asked. “Our brothers are outside waiting for you.”
I sucked in a breath and nodded my head. As I got up from the chair, Olavir’s eyes remained fixed on me, like it was hard
to take his eyes away.
He reached a hand out to me and I took it immediately, grateful for his grounding presence. Together, we made our way downstairs. I held my breath as he led me down the stairs and into the hall.]
It was like all attention had turned to me. The whole hall had been beautiful decorated for the occasion. All eyes were on
me as we made our way further into the room. The old Adella would have cowered at all the attention she was getting but not this one.
I straightened my spine and held my head high, making sure to smile at everyone we passed. Olavir had a smile on his face as well, his gaze occasionally flickering to me.[]
As we walked, I could hear the murmurs of a lot of people in the crowd. []
“That’s the princess.”
“She’s gorgeous.”
“Her dress is so flawless. And it fits her glowing skin so well.“[]
“Princess Adella of the Luciano family. Truly, she’s a beauty to behold.“[]
All of it were compliments and praises. It was all unbelievable. I was finding it hard to believe it. They were actually praising me.
A middle–aged woman came up to me. She had a blinding smile on her face as she spoke.]
“My, my,” she started. “I’ve heard of the princess‘ beauty but I never thought I’d get to see it in person.“[]
I was speechless. “Thank you so much.”
“Oh don’t thank me, my darling.” The woman smiled. “I’m just appreciating beauty when I see it.“]
Chapter 31
My cheeks were warm as she continued to compliment my beauty. She eventually excused herself. I could get used to this kind of attention.]
My attention was on a couple who had bowed to me in greeting when two men walked towards us. I excused myself and turned to them.
To say they were handsome was a terrible understatement. I could tell how muscular they were even underneath the tailored suits they had on.[]
It seems I would have to get used to meeting handsome men. Olavir was the first to act as he began to spoke.
“I’d like you to meet some of your brothers.” He gestured at them. []
“This is Greyven,” He pointed at one of the men. “And this is Halven“]
The one he’d called Greyven stretched out his hand to me. I got over my shock quickly and accepted his handshake.[]
“Pleasure to finally meet you, Adella.” He said.
His eyes were completely calm. Compared to Olavir when we first met, he didn’t look all that excited to see me.[]
“Likewise.” I smiled.
A
“Would you like to see your gift?” He asked, his gaze fixed on me.
I had barely nodded when he clapped his hand and his assistant brought forward a document. He handed to me and
began to explain as I went through it.
“These are documents to the stock in your name.“[]
I raised my head, unable to believe what I was hearing. “Stock?“]
He nodded. “The code to it is your birthday. I’ll personally manage the stock for you so you don’t have to worry about anything. It should continue making you money for a very long time.“[]
“I…I don’t know what to say. Thank you for this, Greyven.” I stared at the documents, still finding it hard to believe.[]
Greyven was about to speak again when Halven stepped forward. “Nice to meet you, sis. I’m Halven, as per Olavir’s introduction. I plan on spoiling you rotten till you are sick of me.“[]
He had a confident smile on his face and a suave personality. He had a certain aura to him that just screamed playboy. His accent was enough to charm any girl in the room.[]
Olavir leaned closer to me and whispered. “He’s an arm’s dealer by the way.”
My eyes widened but I quickly got over the shock. Greyven was glaring at Halven. It seemed there was a bit of tension between them.
“Here’s my gift to you.” I could barely react as he pulled me closer and pointed at the TV.]
It was a live broadcast of what looked like a pack military base. I watched as they entered in the sequence for a missile launch and soon enough, the missile rocketed into the air before landing in the ocean with a big whoosh.
