Chapter 20
“What?” My eyes narrowed on her.
“Oh don’t tell me you’ve forgotten. W e took great care of you, Adella. Don’t tell me you’ve forgotten all I’ve done for you now that you’ve found your real parents.”
“Excuse me. It seems you’re mistaken.” Askhan regarded her. “She actually-“]
“I was talking to her.” He cut him off sharply before turning back to me. “You’ll give us money or you won’t leave here.“[]
“Are you threatening me?” I stepped closer to her, anger boiling beneath my skin.]
“We are your saviors!” He pointed a finger at me. “We are your benefactors. You don’t need the money. You’re filthy rich now. Donate money to us now. We know you don’t need
My anger was rising to the surface with each passing second as I stared at the male administrator. He didn’t have a single look of remorse or guilt on his face as he glared back at me. Talk about entitled.]
“The sooner you donate to us, the better.” Watson scoffed.]
I didn’t bother hiding my anger as I glared at him. I knew what a slimy and corrupt man he was from my days at the orphanage. I knew him for what he truly was.
He’d always been nothing but cruel to the children here at the orphanage. He didn’t care about how they were faring, whether they’d eaten or how their health status was. All he cared about was getting to fill his pockets with whatever. money or donations came to the orphanage.]
He only ever cared about his family. Any good food or money would go to his family. He left absolutely nothing for the children. I still remembered everything. And I remembered his son too.
Joffrey. A stupid, spoiled brat who would always go out of his way to bully and torment us kids in the orphanage. Whenever I tried to report his son to him, Watson would take his anger out on me and punish me instead.]
I would never forget all I suffered at his hands. And I would never forgive him.]
“You heard my husband.” Watson’s wife stepped into the room. She had a nasty sneer on her face as she glared at me and
Askhan.
“You’re going to give us our money or you’re not leaving here.”
I looked at Askhan. He was pissed. He turned to me, the look of anger still on his face. “Is this how they’ve always been here? How they’ve treated you?“]
I put a hand on his shoulder, trying to calm him down. “I’ll handle this.“[]
I turned to the couple. They were still staring at me defiantly. They probably thought I was still the same scared little girl they could bully and get their way with. Not anymore. I refused to let anyone walk over me anymore.
“I don’t owe you any money.” I glared at them.]
“Like hell you don’t.” Watson scoffed, stepping forward. “You’re going to pay for every single penny we spent on you.

Everything!”
They still hadn’t noticed the royal warriors outside. I watched as they continued to rant and complain that I would donate to the orphanage. It was hard keeping my anger down as I glared at them.]
“I can provide the orphanage with donations.” I started.[]
“Well then what are you waiting for? I’ll send you my account details now.” Watson reached into his pocket, fumbling around for his phone.
“But,” I continued. “You’ll hand over the rights to manage the orphanage to me.’
“Like hell we’re going to do that.” Watson spat, his face contorted in anger.[]
His wife stepped forward, the sneer still on her face as she eyed me up and down. “You can act like some kind of pariah of goodness but we all know what you really are.”
“Is that so?” My eyes narrowed on her.[]
“This orphanage is our little money making tool. We get tons of money and donations here. That’s our source of income. If you think we’re going to just let you take it away from us, then you’ve got another thing coming.” She said, her tone filled with venom.]
“You’re going to give us the money we’ve asked for,” Watson stepped even closer. “Or we’ll starve all these little brats to death.”
My anger rose straight to the roof. I couldn’t believe someone could be so heartless and evil. I inched closer to him.[]
“Over my dead body would I let you get your way.“[]
I watched as something in him snapped. His face contorted in anger as he grabbed my shirt roughly and began to hit me.
“You ungrateful whore. It’s no surprise you got beaten on live TV. If I was the one, I’d have made sure I beat you up till you gave up the ghost.”
