Chapter 41
Frank sighed on the other end of the phone and said, “I don’t think it’ll be that easy. It seems like Noelle is truly hurt this time.”
He had tried to coax her, but there hadn’t been any improvements. In fact, Noelle hadn’t even replied to his message, nor did she return home after leaving that restaurant.
In the past, he would have immediately sent someone to look for her. He might even threaten her by saying that he would call the police.
But now, Frank was too afraid that he would only anger Noelle further. So, he could only wait for her reply.
More importantly, he was wary of that mysterious school doctor.
It was no wonder that he could not find any trace of Noelle in the past.
Lucas was in denial as he said, “Frank, Noelle has always had a great relationship with us.
“Doesn’t she love us the most? I believe that all of the misunderstandings will be resolved, and everything will be fine if I explain myself and put in the effort to coax her.”
Frank frowned. “Don’t appear before her while she’s preparing for her exams.”
- “I know not to cross the line.”
Lucas ended the call, knowing what he had to do to cheer Noelle up. He had just been reluctant to do it before. Nevertheless, it was a trivial matter.
Lucas then pressed open his chat with Noelle and sent her a message.
When Noelle finished playing her game, she returned to her room and saw an unread message as she got ready for bed.
She had assumed it was a message from Frank but was surprised to see that it was actually a message from Lucas when she clicked on the message.
The message read, “Noelle, let’s meet at the cafe opposite your school once you finish class. I have something I’d like to say to you.”
Noelle skimmed through his message and recalled the slap Lucas had given her. She then deleted his number from her WhatsApp and went to sleep peacefully.
Early the next day, she took a cab to her school alone as Cedric was not working that day.
When she arrived at her school, she saw a luxurious and eye–catching car parked at the side of the road, and a number of people were gathered around it. Looking at their uniforms, she

When she got out of her cab, someone shouted, “Noelle’s here!”
She watched as the people surrounding that car immediately dispersed as a handsome school uniform exited. He assessed her with his gaze, making her feel uncomfortable.

She immediately recognized the boy. He was Justin Parham, Xenia’s crush from the private school next to theirs.
She had never expected that he would approach her. She watched as he arrogantly asked, “Are you Noelle Liddell? You’re quite beautiful.”
Noelle looked at him with a pair of bright and shining eyes. She was indeed fair and beautiful. Justin smiled in satisfaction as he said, “My name is Justin Parham, and I’d like to be friends with you.”
The girls around them immediately shrieked when he finished speaking.
“Justin is so direct when he’s trying to flirt. He’s so handsome!”
“However, all of Justin’s girlfriends only last for a month at most. I can’t even count how many times he’s changed his girlfriend. It’s a shame so many girls still fall for him.”
“It’s because his family is rich. He’s also generous, so normal girls can’t resist his charm.” “Noelle’s family is pretty well–off, too, but her family isn’t comparable to those from Yasnia. Noelle’s lips twitched as she listened to the crowd’s remarks. That was because Justin had said the same thing in her previous life. However, he had said them to Xenia. She found the turn of events ridiculous.
At that moment, Xenia alighted from her car and immediately saw Justin standing before Noelle. Her expression immediately darkened. It turned out that Noelle really did have her sights set on Justin.
Xenia immediately walked over and said, “Noelle, you were out all night yesterday. Frank was worried sick. You seem to have a close relationship with that school doctor, but how can you spend the night with him outside?”
As expected, Justin immediately frowned when he heard Xenia’s comments. He seemed to find it hard to believe that someone who looked as innocent as Noelle would be so open to such
things.
Noelle looked at Xenia. She smiled faintly, sending a chill down Xenia’s spine.
