I continue gaping at the woman in front of me. She pushes me aside as she storms into the apartment.
She stops in her tracks when she sees Candace, “Whose f****g child is that?” she screeches, startling Candace.
I hurry toward her, “Hey! Don’t scream like that, you can’t just come in here and make a scene.”
“Whose f**** child is that? She better not be Aaron’s.” She is actually, I am not sure what you can do about that.
“Listen lady, you can’t just come in here and start asking questions. I don’t even know who you are, it’s literally 8 in the morning and you are making a scene in my home.” Home? Nice touch Aurora.
She chuckles scornfully. “Your home. Are you f***g dumb? Did you not hear what I said before I came in. I am his fiancée and this is definitely not your home.”
Aaron never told me about a fiancée, did he really have one? Maybe this is a case of lovers that can’t be together for some

“I am his wife. I don’t know about you and I haven’t heard about you before. But if my husband jilted you, I am sorry about that but it still doesn’t give you the right to barge into my home. I try not to giggle at how sincere I sound.
She is staring at me like I have grown two heads, “Jilted me?” she laughs
“So there really is a wife. When I heard about it, I figured it was a joke. Like there is no possible way for Aaron to be doing that but I saw pictures and decided to check it out myself. Listen, I don’t know what ruse this is but I am putting an end to it
It’s just day 3 but I wouldn’t mind if this fiancée’ can help me get my money earlier. If the contract breaks because of his loose ends, it’s not my fault
“Honestly, the only reason I haven’t called the police is because you have a keycard to the penthouse so I know you are not a total stranger. But for all I know, you could be an experienced thief or something.”
Candace is watching our exchange silently with a puzzled look on her face.

She chuckles humourlessly, “You know what, I am done exchanging words with the likes of you. I am calling Aaron.”
She turn away from me and talks on the phone. Her voice is calmer while talking to him. I scoff and roll my eyes.
When she is done, she turns to me with a spiteful look in her eyes. “You are leaving here today. I don’t mind that as long as I get paid the agreed price

Chapter 21
1 sigh. “Whatever, you can have your seat.”
She actually looks insulted by my words, “Don’t try to tell me what to do.”
I shrug. “Suit yourself then. Stand as long as you want.” I say.
I carry Candace with me into the kitchen and put her in a chair at the counter in the middle of the kitchen.
“You’re hungry baby?”
She nods with a pout. I ruffle her hair, “Sorry, mummy got distracted for a little bit.”
I get to work preparing breakfast for the both of us but I can’t shake out the thought of that woman from my head.
If she is really Aaron’s fiancée, I am very curious about whatever happened between them.
She seems like a ***h so I think they fit each other perfectly. I hear the front door open just as I finish serving Candace’s food. She grabs the spoon from my hand immediately she senses I am distracted.
“Dace.” 1 scold and she giggles, i shake my head at her and push the plate closer to her.
My curiosity wins and I walk out of the kitchen to see Aaron and the woman in a heated exchange. Actually, she seems p*** while he is just staring at her b***y.
“I didn’t realise you could talk quietly.” I say to the woman as I walk into the living-room, “You were almost screaming your head off earlier.”
she turns to me with a glare that could melt the Antarctic and I involuntarily flinch.
I knew what I said would *** her off, I wanted that, so they could include me in whatever conversation they were having.
The curiosity is nagging at me and I know Aaron won’t tell me anything if I ask him directly so it’s best to let the woman rant about it.
“I am not sure what makes you think that you can address me. I don’t even know what hole Aaron dragged you out of, but watch your mouth before you really p** me off.” she says menacingly.
I snort, “Right. You are starting to p*** me off too lady. You came into my home and started making outrageous claims. We could get you arrested, you know?” I say, trying to further infuriate her.
She shakily takes a deep breath in anger. She turns back to Aaron, who is watching our exchange quietly.
“Get her out, now.” she says coldly.
“That’s enough Rosa” he says with an air of disinterest.
I raise an eyebrow at how bored he sounds and I scoff at his audacity. He is the epicentre of this argument and he has the audacity to sound bored?
“It’s annoying enough you made me leave work, why are you here? I wasn’t expecting you.”
“Have you not being listening to me? I heard you got married and I came to check what the f***k is going on? Why would you get married? To somebody else?”
“Why not?” he asks monotonously.
She gasps and I don’t miss the hurt expression that crosses her face.
“Why not? Aaron, the question is why would you?” she raises her voice, to that” she yells with her finger pointed at me.

“Hey! I am not a thing. My name is Aurora.”
“I don’t give a f****k what your name is. What the ****k is going on Aaron?”
He rubs his temples and sighs, “Rosa, you know I hate when people raise their voices at me.”
His tone seems harmless, but from the way she quickly looks sober. I can tell she did not want to further annoy him.
I almost chuckle at how quickly she calmed down, so that is why she was being so quiet earlier.
“I know, but you can’t blame me right now. This whole f***g situation is a mess. I could take you dating around, that’s fine. Those were meaningless flings, but getting married Aaron? I have no idea who she is so I know this is still relatively new, cut it off, now!”
Did she just say she has no problems with him having meaningless flings? So she is okay with him cheating as long as it doesn’t get serious? I chuckle, “No f****g way.” They both ignore me.
Aaron puts his hands on her shoulder and bends his head so they are face to face, “So, you think that’s a good reason to call me while I was at work and make me come home?” he asks with the same monotone voice.
He is annoyingly calm about this whole thing.
My curiosity is far from satisfied, nobody is saying anything. Are they really engaged or not? They are obviously familiar with each other.
If they really are engaged, then Aaron is a bigger a***le than I thought he was. Nobody should be cheated on, not even this: annoying rich girl. Getting cheated on f***g sucks.
“Aaron!” she whines.
“Leave, I will call you.” he says with a smile on his face. I almost get whiplash at how fast his expression changed.
“Wait a minute, leave? She can’t leave, I haven’t gotten my answer yet.
I walk over to Aaron and loop my arm around his, “She was going on and on about how she is your fiancée. It was all confusing for me.” I say in a pretentiously small voice.
If looks could kill, I would be long gone with the way the woman, Rosa is glaring at me.
“Is she who she says she is? Is she your…” I draw air quotes with my other hand fiancée?”
“It doesn’t concern you.” he states plainly.
“Get the ***k off him,” she adds, coldly.

They really are a perfect match. To my disbelief, mixed with a little amusement, Aaron removes himself from my grip.

‘Oh, so there really is something going on between you guys. 1 fight the smirk playing on my lips, this may be a good thing.
If she really is his fiancée and I pi****her off enough, she will make him end the marriage early.
I will still get paid since it’s not me that breached the contract and I will get to walk away from Aaron Scott much earlier than planned.
It’s a win-win. Both wins are for me
