Jonathan stormed in, giving each of them a kick. “What the heck are you guys up to? You scared Cynthia away. I’m going to send all of you to work in the mines in Savan.”
Bruce came over with a big grin. “We just wanted to show our respect to Cynthia, Jon. Now that you’re married, she’s our new big boss.
Jonathan pretended to kick him again, but Bruce ducked behind Cynthia. “Cynthia, look, Jon is bullying me.”

After a bit of banter, everyone went inside. The person on the sofa finally stood up. “Ms. Sexton, long time no see,” Cynthia greeted her proactively.
Celine was Tommy’s sister who had given up an opportunity to study abroad and had come to Roncrity two months ago for Jonathan
The last time they met seemed to be right here. Celine’s face looked grim, as if she was about to explode. “Did you two really get your marriage certificate?”
Jonathan casually pulled out the marriage certificate from his pocket and showed it around. “See for yourselves, is it clear enough?

Jonathan immediately hooked his elbow around Bruce’s neck from behind. “Try being cute with Cynthia again, and see what happens.”
Cynthia could tell that Jonathan was different today. He was genuinely happy, and he was acting like a big kid, playfully roughhousing with Bruce and the others.
However, after seeing the marriage certificate, Celine’s heart sank like it had been plunged into an icy river.
Tommy had told her that Jonathan was married, but she didn’t believe it and came to see for herself Now, seeing it with her own eyes, she felt her teenage dreams shattering completely. Celine just wanted to break down and cry.

The dim hallway light fell on her, enveloping her in a soft, warm glow. If it weren’t Lilian but any stranger, Cynthia would have found the scene warm and beautiful
