Chapter 103: A new side of Emma 

It was the first time he had actually heard Enthis way. Her words were points. We realized he had never heard her in this manner before 

“Do not slander me!” Melanie’s eyes filled with tears, making Charles from

The moment she turned around. Charles recalled why he rushed home so quickly. 

“Were you the one that revealed Melanie’s pictures to the press?” he asked, and she paused. 

“What pictures?” she asked, and Melanie hurriedly took out her phone and searched her name, She was on the trending search as her intimate pictures with Charles had been spread all over. The comments online were scathing. The Netizens wanted to eat her raw as it was revealed that the man in the picture, who has been in several rumors over the years, was married. 

Emma had also pulled out her phone to see the chaos. When she saw it, she laughed. 

“So, you are the one!” Charles said, “Those pictures are very similar to the one you showed me!! 

“No, but is it a lie? Is she not a mistress? Do you all need a dictionary to help you with the meaning of the word mistress?” Emma asked. 

“You better retract those words now, or else….” Charles started to say. 

“Or else what? I said I did not do it. You are the only one who thinks this snake is an angel. You probably do not know how many enemies she has already,” Emma said. 

“You still deny it?” Charles asked. 

“Are you crazy? I will not admit to something I did not do. It doesn’t matter if your mistress is in trouble or not; why should I be held accountable for it? Do not worry; when I leave, I will stop by a church to pray for the long health of the person who did this,” she said, and Cecile fumed. 

“You witch! Since you are already leaving this house, why don’t you leave quietly? Why cause trouble on your way out?” Cecile screamed. 

“I will not take the blame for something I did not do, and you lot better be careful about what you say. Old woman, if you cannot prove that I released these photos, I do not mind suing. Emma responded. 

“Old woman?” 

“So, old woman, you better not raise your voice at me again. I am not your daughter–in–law anymore; I do not mind slapping some senses into you,” Emma said, and Cecile shrank back under her cold stare. 

She had never seen Emma this way, and neither had Charles. He suddenly realized that she was not playing some game. She was really ending things. 

“You should be more interested in who this will help more. I am already leaving your family, and in our divorce papers, we made it clear to not speak about each other, so why would I say anything? The person who would benefit the most is the one who will take my place now that I am going,” Emma said, and they all turned to look at Melanie with a frown. 

Seeing that everyone was suspicious of her, Melanie hurriedly defended herself.

Emma turned around to walk away. She had never seen such shamelessness before. She was afraid it was contagious and she would catch it. 

“Stop right there. How dare you try to kill someone?” Cecile said. 

“I am convinced this is a house full of clowns. I had only opened my mouth, but I tried to kill someone. Old woman, you can prove this to a judge, right?” Emma said, 

“You spread lies about her and then say you are clean? If you wanted to leave this family, can’t you leave quietly?” Cecile shouted. 

“Are you all not the ones clinging to me? Since I stepped into this house, none of you would let me pass so that I could pack my things. Everyone of you hurry over to act out a play,” Emma said and stepped forward towards them. 

“This old woman, you jumped like a frog since I entered the door to say I should come cook even though I have divorced your son. Then you fall dramatically when I push you away to leave,” Emma took another step to say. 

“And you, dirty cheater. You walked through the door and started dancing samba, saying I did something to your mistress. I am the one asking you all, Why can’t you let me leave your house quietly?” Emma asked and matched over to the ‘fainted‘ Melanie and threw a stap. 

The slap resounded across the room as no one was expecting it. Even Melanie’s eyes quickly fell open at being suddenly slapped. 

“Emma!” Cecile and Charles shouted at the sametime, 

“Ah, you have woken up, Melanie. Your fall and faint were spectacular, worthy of an award,” she said, and the other two caught the look of anger in Melanie’s eyes. 

Melanie could not help but shoot Emma a death stare. A stare that everyone there saw. 

“What kind of unconscious person wakes up with eyes like yours? Did your acting coach not teach you to be subtle?” Emma asked. 

“Always the fuel added to fire to make things worse. Egging Cecile to keep talking or this idiotic cheater to keep saying nonsense. Are you sure you are not the snake that tempted Eve to eat that able?” Emma asked, turned around, and left them there. 

She went ahead to pack her things. She could not understand how dramatic this entire family could be. She picked up the phone and called her sister Anya. 

“Hey, your husband is on the news again. Except this time, people know that he is married. Hah, the comments on these videos are everything,” Anya said. 

“Was that you?” Emma asked. 

“Of course. Make sure you take everything you need. There is no need for you to return there 

for any reason,” Anya advised. “Don’t forget something and return to act movies with them. That family is too dramatic for anyone to handle

“I don’t know what you are talking about,” she said. 

“Yes, you do. It is around your neck right now. That was my grandmother’s heirloom. Hand it over.” Emma said, and Cecile scoffed. 

“You gave this to me. It is mine now. I will not give it back for any reason,” Cecile answered, and Emma nodded and took out her phone and placed it on her ear.
