Chapter 34: His Mood Swings 

Anya was not sure what to do now. She laid on her bed a bit until she heard a knock on the 

door. 

“Come in,” she instructed, and the door opened. A lanky old man in a sharp dark suit walked 

in and was treated with a slight bow that remained her of an English butler. 

“You are?” Anya asked. 

“Hello, Madam, I am Lenny; I am the new butler, madam,” Lenny answered. 

Anya did not know there was even an old butler, so she nodded for him to continue. 

“The master has instructed me to take over as butler here. I wanted to introduce myself and get your opinion on some matters,” Lenny said, and Anya paused. She was not really the master of this house. 

She was not sure why she had to handle this. 

“What matter?” Anya asked.

moment. I have found that Madam does not have a large enough closet here, so I wish to put it in the master bedroom. The master bedroom has been renovated for you, and you have not moved in yet. I was wondering when you would be ready to move,” he said, and she became speechless. 

There was a lot of information to unpack there. 

She recalled that when she was only Daniel’s wife for a few more weeks, was there any need.

for her to have all these things? What master bedroom renovation? This had nothing to do with her. 

“No, thank you. Please tell Mr. Shaw, I don’t need anything. I don’t need a closet, and I will not be moving to the master bedroom,” Anya rejected. 

Lenny was taken back by how she referred to Daniel as Mr. Shaw but held back his shock. 

“The stylist is already here. I am not sure what to do, and they can’t leave without a delivery. How about, madam looks at the outfits, and when master comes back, he will handle the rest.” Lenny asked, and Anya hesitated before agreeing 

She decided to just pick a few things and send the stylists away. 

When talk of closets comes up, it means that she would be getting a lot of clothes, and none of these things belonged to her. 

Seeing the butler leave, Anya looked down at her band and felt tired. Nothing was in her 

control. 

Daniel was back to pretending they were married 

Anya had come down later on to see a stylist and a group of personal shoppers in the living 

TOOM. 

She was suddenly overwhelmed. They greeted her politely and started showing her around. They presented many clothes and outfits, and Anya was not sure how to proceed. 

There were a lot of clothes, and she was not sure why anyone needed this much. The stylist. waited for her instructions after setting up. This made Anya uncomfortable. She could have called Daniel and asked what was going on.

The stylist, Jenna, was very easy to talk to. She easily calmed Anya just by being chatty. 

Anya picked some random styles just to be polite before saying she did not need more. For some reason, she started to feel there was some mix–un 

“Were you sent to style a Selene?” Anya could not help but ask. 

“Yes, why?” Jenna said, and Anya held back her discomfort as her hands shook. Daniel had never bought her anything since they had gotten married, but he sent a stylist for Selene. 

Now sure Daniel had made a mistake and the clothes should have been sent to Selene, Anya 

stood up and called for the butler. 

“Madam, is there anything you need?” Lenny asked. 

“It seems there was a mistake. Daniel sent the stylist for Selene. Have it arranged so that the clothes get to her,” Anya said, and Lenny went stiff. 

Anya was at this point sure that the renovated master bedroom was probably for Selene too. 

It was a short meetup, but Anya was quite tired by that time. Jenna left and decided to walk around the house. She had usually avoided moving around Daniel’s home, but she suddenly felt restless and needed somewhere to go.

She strolled out of the house into the garden behind and farther out into a small orchard. 

By the time Daniel returned, Anya was sitting in the garden. She took her time looking around, not realizing that Daniel had returned. 

When she was ready to return, she strolled back home. 

Anya spotted Daniel waiting for her by the door the moment she barely opened the door when she spotted Dantel and frozen.

As Anya pushed forward, the heavy doors of the mansion opened, and she entered the grand foyer. Her exhaustion quickly turned to unease. 

She did not need anyone to tell her that Daniel was angry. 

“You should come up. Let’s talk,” he said. 

Daniel Shaw had never had to hold back for anyone before. Yet here he was trying everything 

not explode right now. He was not angry at her, but he still looked at her coldly. 

Anya quietly 

followed him to her room. When she was there, she found a place to sit. 

Daniel said nothing. He had not seen Anya for days now, and his emotions were all over the place. When he finished his meeting with his father, he immediately traveled to handle things He did not think it would take him this long to return. 

When he did not say anything, Anya was pissed. It was only a moment ago that he sent clothes and stylists to his mistress. She was not even angry at him, yet he was “ngry? What did she do? 

To Selene he was loving and warm; to her he was cold and unfeeling. It annoyed her. 

What was with his mood swings? This was the man that left her stranded on a cruise; what could she expect? 

“Speak already; why are you so angry?” She asked him. 

Chapter 34 Hà Mood Swind 

“Who says I am angry?” he asked. 

Anya sighed. She was trying to hold in her anger, 

“If you don’t speak now, it doesn’t matter if you suddenly want to say later; I will not respond,” she warned him. 

Daniel suddenly saw it again, Anya’s temper. 

“Anya, How long can you stay at home without stepping out?” Daniel asked coldly. 

Anya’s heart sank as Daniel’s cold eyes met hers. This was a very suspicious question. 

She knew he was angry, but she had thought he was only slightly dissatisfied with her, so she goaded him to speak. His expression at this moment scared her. Stay home? What did this mean? She could not help but become cautious. 

“I am not sure what you mean,” Anya said uncomfortably. “Are you angry I step into your garden? I just went outside for a moment and strolled in the garden; am I not allowed to?” How could she forget? She suddenly remembered living here the first week of her marriage. The entire mansion was cautious of her. She was not allowed to touch anything. 

Anya felt the need to apologize. She had just been frustrated and taken a stroll. Did she touch something? She tried to remember. 

Daniel’s eyes remained cold as she stared at her. 

“Why would that be an issue?” Daniel asked. His voice was suddenly low and soft. 

He could tell she really thought she should not be walking around. It made him uncomfortable. Did she have to be that cautious with him?

Daniel did not want to admit that when he came back and did not see her, he panicked for a second. He thought she had gone out. 

But Anya shook her head; she was not sure what was going on, but she did not want to offend him right now.
