Chapter 19 Quinn
Cynthia’s face was quickly burning up. She opened her mouth, but she could not produce any words no matter how hard she tried.
Quinn looked at her with the same anticipation as she had when she came in
Brian placed his hand on Quinn’s waist and led her to the couch, saying casually, “There’s no need to rush. Cyn is just shy.”
Brian was about to ask Colln a question next, but Colin sprung up from his seat, putting a distance between them.
Cynthia sa Colin’s mischievous and dangerous face approaching her.
Zory had not seen Cynthia for a long time, so she figured Brian had returned. However, she did not expect to see a face that she had not seen at home for a long time. “Collie? You’re back, too.”
celin stood in place. He glanced at the fruit platter in Zoey’s hand and saw that it was mostly green grapes.
“We have many elderly members who are attending the dinner tonight, don’t we?” Colin said indefinitely.
Zoey had always been keeping a respectful distance from Colin as well. Everybody in the family had always treated Colin like the prince of the family. They did not even dare to be slow in rephing to him
“yes, you’re right,” said Zoey.
“Change the fruits to those with low sugar content,” said Colin
That was the fruit platter that Zoey had asked Cynthia to wash earlier. It was for Brian.
Seeing that Zoey was about to take the platter back in, Cynthia took it from her and said, “TE have them.”
Zoey glanced at Colin cautiously, but she did not say much in front of him. “I’ll prepare something else.”
Cynthia thought it was extremely lame of Colin to be nitpicking. She also had enough after he kept mocking her.
She walked up to Quinn with the fruits. Then, she took a deep breath and said, “Have some fruits, Quinn. It’s very sweet”
Brian already extended his hand out of habit. He was stunned for a moment after he realized that Cynthia was not offering it to him, and then, he sat back down slowly
His phone rang. He answered the call briefly and went out to wekome the guest, telling Cynthia to take care of Quinn.
As he walked past Colin, he said, “Mr. Forger is here.”
Colin ignored him. He took out his phone and checked his message instead.
Fred Forger had been very close to the Jenkins family. He was Laid’s best friend before Loid passed away. His states was on par with Loid’s, be it at the company or at the Jenkins residence
Brian did not get an answer from Colin, so he went out alone.
Cynthia suppested taking Quinn to the dining room first
Quins put on a big, beautiful smile and said, “Alright”
As they were walking out of the living room, Chuinn asked softly, “There should be no issues today, right?”
“Huh?” Cynthia was confused
Quinn gestured to Colin, who was picking out a drink from the liquor cabinet, with her gaze. “Theard Colin would make a big scene every time he came home.” Trying to get confirmation, she asked, “Is that so?”
Cynthia did not really want to talk to others about the Jenkinses family matters. However, she immediately realized that Quinn was about to get married to Brian soon. She probably knew about it because Brian had mentioned it
“I don’t think so,” Cynthia answered in a disgruntled tone.
She did not sound very confident.
It was no surprise that the situation at home would become a huge mess every time Colin came home in the past. Brian would tell her to stay in her room in advance. Then, he would have someone send the food to her after everything calined down and before he headed out.
Cynthia was uneasy as she looked back at the living room. She thought to herself that things would probably be the same this time.
“But he can’t ruin my wedding with Brian.” Quinn was very confident in that. She was not too worried about uncertain things. She started appreciating the decor of the residence.
She noticed that Cymilla was distracted, so she asked, “What’s the matter? Colin’s not really going to…”
Cynthia regained her senses and quickly comforted her, saying, “No, he won’t. It’s fine. It’s not that lame.” Quinn was easily comforted. “That’s great, then.”
she changed the topic very naturally and said, “I heard from Balan that you and your siblings are very close.” Cynthia nodded very quickly.
Quinn asked, “Are you only close to Urian? Or are you close to Culin?”
