Is she still in love with Galvin?
She would be lying if she said she didn’t anymore.
It was the feeling that had already rooted inside her heart. However, she is taking steps to move on, and Galvin is doing that too. Meaning her love is only going to waste if she continues hoping he’d return her love.
It was crystal clear that her love was unrequited.
“You don’t need to answer that… I’m sorry if I am such a nosy.” Noah apologized, then attempted to change the topic.
Kristel shook her head. After some thought, she meets Noah’s gaze and answers his question.
“Whether I’m still in love with him or not. We’ve already ended our marriage. The two of us are free to do whatever we would like in our life.”
She didn’t mention that she has no plan to start a new relationship, as she doesn’t need to declare or announce her entire life to others.
Instead, she must focus on nurturing the baby in her womb and creating a name in the design industry.
That was one of her initial plans. Although Galvin is part of her dreams, the chapter of her life that he was in it was over.

Galvin parked his car in his company’s parking lot and leaned on the car seat for a while. His stomach was acting up, but he could not tell Kristel about it after they quarreled, which involved the same person as the reason for their divorce.
In the past, Kristel was only a text away. She would immediately prepare the nutritional soup when he complained he felt discomfort after having a meal with his business partners. Either she would bring it to the company, or a warm soup was prepared when he arrived home.
But today, he had to endure the hunger he felt.
He had no proper meal the entire day yesterday, but he could not decline when CEO Jones of New York and CEO Carlton in LA invited him for a drink while they had a meal. And over the meal, he couldn’t eat properly.
He already misses Kristel’s cooking. But she hated him now. Hence, he couldn’t ask her to prepare some breakfast for him.
Would Kristel be willing? He bet she wouldn’t.
Thinking about the distance between them now, Galvin sighs bitterly.

Galvin pulled out his phone and texted Cory to order breakfast at the nearby restaurant of the company. After that, he exited his car and headed to the elevator.

Galvin walked into his office. Immediately, his secretary followed him and informed him of his schedule within the day. When she finished, she then added.
“President Hudson, Miss Grayson was in the company.”
Galvin felt conflicted the moment he heard the name. He opened his mouth but couldn’t form a word to say. Since Fiona was here already, then he had to meet her.
“Where is she?”
“Miss Grayson was in the HR Department, sir. She told us that you hired her as our spokesperson.”
“Oh, that…” He almost forgot that when Fiona begged him to give her work in his company, he didn’t refuse her since he had several upcoming projects and needed someone to be the spokesperson when he finally launched them.
Suppose he is scheduled to launch his new project in February to celebrate love, but he has to move back earlier after someone hacked the archive of his company.
And since Fiona is a known model internationally, he saw her as the perfect spokesperson for his new project. She is beautiful and has the charm to gain attention.
He chose her not because she was his first love. He is not a fool to hire someone without talent. And soon, he will show how capable of a person he is and what his company could do so much.
Recently, he has invested in a new product line, the wedding dress market. This is an area that his company has never tried before. And since a famous design company proposes cooperation, he thinks it is worth trying.
“Sir, the design company that cooperates with us recently has called just now. They said they would bring a designer over to explain the design concept to us.” “That’s good.” Since the company took the initiative and Fiona was here, everything has been perfect. “Call the HR department and ask about the contract they offered for Miss Grayson. I want to review it myself.”
“Right away, sir…”
After five minutes, the contract was emailed to the secretary. She quickly prints them out and brings them over to her boss.
“Do you want me to prepare something for you, sir?”
Galvin paused from flipping a folder and pondered for a while. He craves to drink a big mug of coffee, but his stomach discomfort would worsen if he did that. After some thought, he asked. “What do we have besides coffee?”
“We have some tea brought by Mrs. Hudson, sir.”
Galvin finally raised his head and looked at his secretary. The secretary was frightened by her own carelessness. There ja rumor that her boss has already divorced

‘Am I going to get fired?‘ The secretary was frozen on the floor in a trance when she filled her head with possible scenarios. But what her boss had said next actually surprised her.
“Go and make me a teapot of it.”
“Oh. Right away, sir!” The secretary didn’t stay long, and her boss realized the mistake she made when her tongue slipped out. ‘I think I should start to address the
missus as Miss Pearson.‘
Soon, Galvin was sipping tea while he read the contract his company had offered her. Then, before he read half of the content, his office door was pushed open.
“Galvin!” Fiona had a sweet smile on her lips when she approached him.
And before he could offer her a chair in front of his table, Fiona had already rushed toward him, and she kissed him fervently. However, a surprise was written on her face when he pushed her.
“Galvin?” She didn’t understand why Galvin pushed her, which upset her.
Oblivious to her, Galvin pushed her out of repulsion to her behavior. He didn’t like her kissing him, mainly because he remembered the last time Kristel was here. That night, they shared the heat in this office.
“I’m sorry. But I asked a manager to bring me the proposal I must sign. He’ll come over soon.”
After he apologized and explained, Fiona’s countenance finally softened. But she complained afterward.
“Galvin, you haven’t visited me since the hospital incident. I’ve started to think that you are avoiding me.”
Fiona pouted as she narrated this, and Galvin’s headache worsened, listening to her coquettish voice. Thus, he was forced to explain himself again, and Fiona failed to notice that he was a little irritated.
“I’m sorry. I must finish preparing our launch project soon while you are the spokesperson.”
“Really?” Fiona felt delighted upon hearing that. “I know you love me!”
Fiona hooked her arms around his neck, then leaned on his shoulder. He sighs with relief to see that he succeeds in appeasing her. However, he was wrong. “Galvin, since your new product line is wedding gowns. Can I choose the best design for me to wear to our wedding? I want us to get married on the 28th of this month. How’s that?”
Galvin pursed his lips and sighed inwardly. He was disappointed that Fiona couldn’t understand that his Grandma was weak after the last attack.
“Fiona, you know it is impossible for now. Grandma had just been discharged from the hospital. My father warned everyone not to mention anything that could stimulate Grandma. So I could not talk to my parents about our engagement.”
Fiona started crying when he told her how complicated things were for them by now. He must consider his Grandma’s health, but Fiona does not care. “Galvin, don’t you love me anymore?”
He fell silent at her question. At that point, the question slowly sank into his heart. ‘Did I not love her anymore?‘
Kristel’s face appeared in his mind when his heart was in a dilemma.
“Galvin, answer me. Have you fallen out of love with me but felt something for Kristel?”
He found it hard to admit that his heart was in turmoil. And his silence is a loud answer to her fear. Fiona then cried louder.
“I’m sorry, Fiona…” He isn’t sure how to comfort her.
Fiona sobbed. “Galvin, I still love you so much. Let’s try it again. Can’t we? How about we should live together? It will help us determine our feelings for each other. I promised I wouldn’t insist on us marrying soon. But help me persuade Grandma to give us her blessing.”
“Fiona… I-”
“If it does not work, I promise to leave in peace. I will return to Paris and give you and Kristel my blessing. Please, Galvin…”
