It’s been half an hour, and the man hasn’t left her bedroom yet.
“Such a nuisance! I need to unpack!”
Kristel rose from the sofa and marched toward her bedroom, knocking on the door. When no one responded, she pressed her ear on the door and listened. But she couldn’t hear anything.
She felt so ridiculous that she, the owner of this home, was kicked out of her bedroom!
“Hey! Don’t tell me you plan to sleep in my house. What the heck! Go home to your own house!”
She was tempted to bang the door loudly until the man inside got irritated with the noise. However, she must avoid making extreme noise, fearing that Noah will hear the happenings in her suite,
Kristel is pacing back and forth in the living room when she is interrupted by the doorbell sound.
“Could it be Noah? Did he hear me when I shouted?”
She doubts Noah can hear that. She barely heard anything from her bedroom. Therefore, the soundproofing is excellent.
Kristel strode toward the door and checked the monitor. To her surprise, the last person she wanted to see was now on her doorstep.
She didn’t open the door.
“Kristel! Open the f*cking door! I know Galvin is in there! I saw his car parked outside! You are such a slut!”
The woman, none other than Fiona, is banging on her front door. Kristel sneered in her heart.
‘God! I just moved in this evening, but several people have found my address already?!‘
Outside, Fiona stomps her right foot. She was furious that Kristel only ignored her. Thus, she didn’t stop clanging the door and pressing the doorbell.
‘Why does Galvin come and find Kristel? Does he not love me anymore? Why does he still not want to let go of Kristel?‘
Fiona felt uncomfortable in her heart. She wouldn’t allow Kristel to win Galvin’s love. Whatever happens, she must make Galvin fall in love with her again!
Maybe Galvin was only challenged by Kristel’s rejection after she signed the divorce papers without complaint. And the rumors she spread online might hurt his ego as a man.
As she remembered her post, a few commenters attacked Galvin too, and those netizens actually irked her, but it didn’t matter since the majority slandered Kristel. Unfortunately, it was taken down right away.
‘Next time, I will ensure they will have difficulty taking the rumor down!‘
Determined to separate Galvin and Kristel, Fiona decides not to stop making Kristel’s life miserable.
Meanwhile, Kristel initially plans to ignore Fiona. However, the latter was now banging on the door.
It worried her that Fiona’s clamor would attract Noah’s attention.
“What are you doing here, Fiona?” Kristel opened the door with a dark face. She didn’t want to cross paths with this woman anymore, but she keeps appearing before her.
“Kristel, you are such a slut!”
Fiona stared at her fiercely, while her right index pointed to her.
Kristel slapped Fiona’s hand. She scoffed and mouthed, “How confident are you pointing your finger at me while three others are pointing back at you? Did you waste your time coming to my apartment just to make yourself look ridiculous in front of me?”
“How dare you, Kristel! Stop being entitled that you are important!”
“Then stop being a joke, Fiona.“.
Kristel pushed one brow upward when she said that, and Fiona was livid at seeing it. Additionally, Kristel had a glib tongue, which she never won against her when it came to verbal provocation battles!
“Where is Galvin, Kristel!?”
“Why are you asking me about his whereabouts? We’ve already divorced.”
“Exactly! The two of you have already divorced, but you still dare to seduce him! What did you say to him?” She’s afraid that Galvin harbor any feelings for Kristel, the reason he keeps looking for her. Galvin would not keep her by his side if she couldn’t satisfy him.
Kristel snorted. The woman before her is getting and getting ludicrous. “Then come in and drag your man out of my apartment! I would be over the moon if you could take him away and make sure to tie him around your waist so that he won’t look at another woman! Do you really think I want him?”
Fiona narrowed her gaze, clenching her fists tight on her sides. She peeked inside the apartment but didn’t see Galvin, even his shadow. She doesn’t want to think that Kristel can order Galvin to hide from her. “That’s impossible!‘
She was tempted to enter Kristel’s apartment and search every room. However, it can be called trespassing.
Before, she was confident about coming into the North Hill villa because Galvin owned that property. Now she cannot dare go into Kristel’s rights of property. “Humph!”
Fiona spun angrily. She was about to leave when something flashed in her mind. She pursed her lips into a sweet smile and turned around to face Kristel. She said, “Kristel, since the divorce hasn’t been finalized, I will let you make the most of your chance to be with Galvin until I marry him. Yes, Galvin promised to hold our wedding soon! By then, you no longer have the right to be with him! So bear in mind, Kristel. I only let you borrow Galvin

Fiona left in a hurry after she stated that.
Kristel was left stunned. The words Fíona had uttered were hard to swallow, and as it slowly sank deeper into her heart, her tears went silently down her delicate cheeks.
“Hah! How foolish of me!”
She knows Galvin only offers fake affection and uses her body for his urges. But as he often acted like he was chasing her and felt jealous to see her hanging out with the opposite sex, a little hope sprouted in her heart every time.
And when she wants to assume that there is a second chance between them, Galvin slaps her with the reality that he could never love her, as his heart only belongs
to Fiona.
‘How cruel of him! Is his pleasure to hurt me?‘
Kristel didn’t know how and when she returned to the living room. Someone is shaking her shoulder. She slapped the hand and ignored the person waking her up. She stayed up until midnight, waiting for Galvin to come out of her bedroom, but she fell asleep halfway.
“Kristel, wake up. You shouldn’t sleep without a blanket!”
Kristel thought she was only dreaming. Thus, she replied angrily. “What do you care about? You even let me soak in the rain for another woman!”
Galvin, who was grasping Kristel’s shoulder, slowly retracted his hand. At that moment, he didn’t understand why his heart was hurting.
“Kristel…” At that point, he didn’t know what to do.
Kristel, on the other hand, is slowly rousing. She open her eyes and squinted them to have a clear vision. She panicked upon realizing that Galvin spoke to her for real, and she could not remember what reply she gave him!
She got up and pushed him away when he was too close to her, sitting at the edge of the sofa where she slept all night.
“Kristel, how cruel of you!” Galvin didn’t expect that she would push him; thus, it shocked him when she did that.
Kristel snorted and chided him. “Now I am the cruel one here? Who sleeps comfortably in my bed while I stay in the cold living room?”
Galvin cannot retort when it was indeed his fault. But he was exhausted yesterday. He didn’t notice that he fell asleep.
And he would never admit to Kristel that he missed her scent. That’s why he was unable to fight not to doze off once her pleasant scent entered his system. “Why are you still standing there? Why don’t you leave now and explain yourself to Fiona? I don’t want her to come find me whenever she wants, and accuse me of seducing you!” She felt so wronged. “I’m living in peace!”
Kristel bellowed. Galvin was snapped out of his reveries. He pursed his lips and attempted to speak but could not utter anything.
In fact, he doesn’t know what to say after he realized that Fiona had come last night. He must coax Kristel, but he isn’t sure how to appease her.
“I apologized, Kristel. I promised she would no longer trouble you in the future.”
Kristel pursed her lips. She conceals the sadness glints in her eyes. Of course, Fiona would only stop appearing before her if Galvin married her, and he is willing to do so since he promised to make her Mrs. Hudson.
“I don’t need your apology nor your promises! Just leave now and never appear before me! The next time you insist on breaking into my apartment, I will call Noah to apprehend you!”
Galvin clenched his jaws. He was unhappy by her threat. It appears that Kristel had never forgotten her feelings for Noah.
“Are you going to marry him?”
His sudden question took Kristel aback. She didn’t see that coming.
Bracing herself by crossing her arms above her chest, Kristel lifted her chin and said, “You are remarrying. Why can’t I?”
She saw how his veins protruded on his forehead.
Indeed, her statement enrages Galvin, causing him to be unable to answer her, so he leaves angrily.
Kristel flinched when Galvin punch her door before he get out of her apartment. She could no longer hold her facade. Almost immediately, her tears flooded her eyes. The years that she loved Galvin would not disappear in an instant.
And the longer it dwells in her heart; she will only keep hurting like this.
Kristel touched her belly, murmuring. She needs to stay strong for her child. The pain in her heart is not important at all. But they must live happily even though his daddy is not with them.
“I’ll make sure you will be happy, love.”
