GALVIN’S POW

Kristel made the best hangover smp in the world.

Looking forward in the delicious soup, 1 portended to be adeep.

“Gahin, please hear me not.” Fiona lamented.
And listening to her walls worsened the discomfort in my head, but when Fiona apologized and swore the would not do much an act in the future. I felt conflicted, and my heart was uneasy, knowing that Kristel was only a few meters away
I wondered what her reaction would be. But I’m a total dit to hope one thing that is mily my wishful thinking.

Efelt angevat her unconcrmed reaction, so lessed Fiona fiercely, but she just let the room like nothing had happeneit.
The moment Kristel disappeared at the door, 1 let go of Fiona
“Galvin?” Fiona’s face filled with confusion when suddenly I showed her to the side. I felt guilty as excited a little force. “What’s wrong? Are you worried she would get alous
I was livid when Fiona provocatively stated this. Throwing a glare at her, I didn’t mask my anger at her coming to my house
#Fiona, I hope you’ll understand that this is mine and Kristel’s matrimonial house. You cannot come without her consent.” At the bottom of my heart, I was worried that she would embarrass Kristel
“What do you mean by that? Isn’t the one you promised to buy this house?”
Fiona coed, and felt apang in my heart when what she said was true.
“Galvin, I couldn’t believe that you’d change. It was you who promised to purchase me a villa in North Hill. But you give it to Kristel. What do you think I would
I couldn’t retort when Fiona was telling the truth. When I proposed to her two years ago, I promised her to buy a house in North Hill as our matrimonial house “Galvin, you’re a liar! You promised to put forward the divorce to your grandmother, but you didn’t! Instead, you allowed them to bully me, and I could do nothing because of my most respect for your grandma. I have no choice but to endure how cruel she was!
“You’re very unfair to me, Calvin! You had promised to protect me. But you failed to do so! Instead, you made me feel like being abandoned. Now you’ll blame me for whrt did that last night
“Alright, that’s enough. “I stopped Flona from enunciating further, 1 patted her back, trying to coax her
My heart softened listening to her sentiments. Indeed, I lacked empathy for her, and I could sense het gevances, but for my sake, she just let my family mistreat. her.
“I’m sorry.” I couldn’t help but apologize, I was the one who made her feel insecure like this. Indeed, she would feel abandoned by me when I was the one who persuaded her nonstop in the past and swore to make her live like a queen
In the end, the person whom I showered everything with was someone else. Although Fiona tumed downy proposals before, understand that everything she does is for her to be accepted by my family.
Therefore, the resolution came up with so that she stops feeling this way, I must secure her footing in the Hudson Easily.
“Hush now.“I wiped the tears that drenched Fiona’s pale face. Her eyes were swollen, proving she cried all night and regretted what she did in the club
Seeing her like this felt like a needle pierced into my heart,
I must not forget that she was the precious daughter of the Crapon tamch
She had always been a spoiled daughter who could conquer every handsome guy in the city, but she only wanted
Fiona supeverything in France and retums to me
Imembered how I was crazy about her in school. Although my head is filled with Kristel lately, I am guilty of Fiona
After all, she was the one who gave way for me to become a successful businessman today.
Fiona Grandma wouldn’t support me 11 1 misted on marrying her in the past
Il she didn’t support me in getting my inheritance, I wonder if I would achieve this moch. Now it’s time to fulfill my promise to her
“Alright, I’ll talk to Kristel to file our divorce on Grandmother’s birthday. So don’t cry now.”
gummed. I promised it would be soon.
Nodding my head, I thought could as her by making a promise. However, Flona pouted, and her tears welled up in her eyes one more time.
“Why must it have, Kristel? Can you do fhut instead? Galvin, are you reluctant to divorce Kristel?”
Fions expressed her unhappiness. She questioned me about why I could not
Dite the divorce myself.
Doubting me like this, my tace darkened, but concealed my irritation and held back my anger.
Fiona knew that Grandma was not in good health. She knew i didn’t want to cause her sadness, but she seemed not to care about that at all, she showed me how she only cared if she could get me, not the feelings of the person who raised me.
“We’ll talk more about it in the next day. I have some important matters to attend to…” I said gloomily, and Fiona failed to read my countenance.
“But it’s Sunday! Can’t you accompany ine home?”
I was disappointed at Fiona’s demeanor, but she needed to understand that I was working my ass hard for our future.
Fiona was unhappy when I told her she had to leave the house now. Even so, I already explained to her I purchased this house for Kristel and would not repeat
myself
“We’ll purchase our own house after the divorce is finalized. I will let you choose anything, but not this one, okay?”
“Did you say anything?” Fiona’s eyes flickered with excitement. It happened that she was eyeing those houses in the Sunnyville Estate. The houses there are way bigger than this villa
“Yes, anything. So next time, please restrain from coming and looking for me. Understand that I don’t want to anger Kristel. Remember that Grandma is siding with her. I couldn’t do anything if she would be disappointed in you again, this time, it’s the two of us. You know I want you in a good book with Grandma.”
After stating this, I called Cory and ordered him to send Fiona to her apartment.
Fiona was reluctant to leave. But my head was pounding from a severe headache. I could no longer put up with listening to more of her complaints.
I tumed my back on her, strode toward the bathroom, and had a shower to ease my headache.
Under the running shower, Trouldn’t help but think of Kristel………
Telenched my knuckles and gritted my teeth, remembering how unconcerned she was seeing me with Fiona,
I was convinced she willingly accepted my proposal and endured every time I tormented her body for the benefits her family would get.
“Dammit!” I punched the bathroom wall, and it hurt like hell. “F*ck!”

What are you talking about, honey? Is better to us to be happy that our daughter- and son–in–law are getting along well?
Honestly, Hector Pearson was reluctant to marry oft besidaughter to a man she didn’t love, mot Kristel was willing to manry Galvin Hudson, bence, he gave his blessing as long as his daughter was happe
“Did you come alone?” Hector knew Galvin was busy, so he no longer hoped his son–in–law would visit them. Above all, he’ll treat his daughter well, and Kristel did live well. Hence, he does not complain it his son–in–law does not visit themat will, but he lets the young couple live peacefully without the in–laws nagging. Belcould answer her parents questions, her mom advised without brake
“Sweetheart, it’s normal for a couple to fight. You and Galvin were still in the stage of adjustments. Look at your parents… We’ve still had arguments occasionally. But we let it past. Now tell me why the two of your quarreled?”
Kestel smiled She was too grateful to have such parents who never failed to shower her with their love
However, it only her case is similar to her parent’s situation, in which they only have minor arguments, they would shrug, their shoulders and toss this misunderstanding out the window at the end of the day.
However, no one knows that her marriage with Galvin comes to terms. She has to sign the divorce papers anytime soon once he asks
Yet, she doesn’t want her parents to worry about her.
“Mom, Dad Galvin and I didn’t fight, fntact“Kristel lowered her gaze, pretending that she was shy to continue. “It’s just that Galvin didn’t let me sleep much Last night.”
Hearing this, the couple shared a knowing look They understood what their daughter was talking about. Amongst other people, couples knew better.
“Then why did you drive her aloe early in the morning?” Eliza rapped her daughter’s hand, eager to hear Kristel’s reasoning “If that is so, you should rest and wat nutritious food. You have to take carol your body”
“you’re right, mom. But Calvin has to leave early in the morning. There is an emergency in his presence needed. Since I could no longer go back to sleep, and it felt lonely to have breakfast alone, I decided to visit you, but I suddenly had a stomach ache when i was halfwayhome.”
“What? Why didn’t you tell m

Staring at her man’s beautiful figure disappearing in the hallway, Kristel smiled and slightly shook her head. She picked up the teaher dad poured for her, but he only snatcard it and reminded her.

Hectorfollowed his wife into the kitchen.
When he returned, tears misted in the comer of Kristel’s eyes. Her dad brought a plate of fruits and urged her to eat them while her mom hadn’t finished making
“Thanks, Dad,”
Not long, Eliza finished preparing breakfast for her daughter. Kristel tried not to be obvious about how starved she way, but in the end, she savored everything her parents had prepared for her.
Her parents were astounded to see the clean plates. Kristel giggled and red to mind them of her sex life with cabin before they made remarks that her husband underfed her
Instead, she changed the subject by asking her parents about divorce.

The middle–aged couple was shocked upon listening to her query. Kristel bumied to explain that her friend wanted to be enlightened regarding filing a divorce.
She mentioned her friend was looking for an expert divorce Lawyer
“My friend is facing a divorce from her husband, but she found out she was pregnant. Now it worried her whether to declare she was expecting. She is afraid her husband will take the child. Now she wanted to know who would have the full custody of the child, regardless of the situation”
Listening to their daughter’s explanation, Eliza cast a meaningful look at her husband before she shared the little knowledge she had.
“Well, sweetheart… The mother was often rewarded for having the child’s full custody.”
“Really?” Kristel became excited to hear this.
She was relieved she could keep her child once Galvin intended to take the child away from her. However, her bubbles popped up when her dad chirped in.
“Unless the father will contest and fight for custody. Sometimes, judges would side with the parent who can give the child a more comfortable life and brighter future. Let’s say the father is wealthy.”
Eliza concurred. “Your father is correct, Kristel. If your friend is unemployed, she’ll lose custody.”
“How about if she’s financially stable, mom?”
“Then she has nothing to worry about.”
Kristel smiled. Money is not a matter. However, what worries her is Galvin’s grandma. What if she were the one who would pressure Galvin to fight for custody? That’s not all. She is certain that Calvin’s mother would not allow her grandchildren to be taken away from her.
She was also in a difficult situation because the two ladies were nice to her. She is sad to sever ties with them, but her only resolve is to leave the Hudson family immediately after the divorce.
Catching the worry on her face, the couple wondered why their daughter was affected by her friend’s divorce.
“Kristel, are you alright? ts something bothering you?” asked Hector. Doubts are written on his slightly aged face.
Kristel smiled and shook her head. “I’m fine, Dad. I’m only lost in my thoughts. I’m thinking of what Galvin would like for lunch. That’s right! I better phone him.”
In front of her parents, Kristel dialed Galvin’s contact with a loud thud in her chest. She masked the anxiety flashing in her eyes. She prayed that Galvin and Fiona would finish doing the deed and Galvin would answer her call.
She breathed out with relief when Galvin’s indifferent tone sounded in the other line.
“Honey…” Kristel pouted and asked Galvin if Cory made him breakfast. However, Galvin yelled in response.
“Hah! You actually remembered that I hadn’t had my breakfast yet. Why don’t you go home now and make me one?”
her parents how delighted she was to talk to her
Kristel clutched the phone to maintain her demeanor. This time, she parted her lips for a sweet smile to show ho husband
“Understood, honey. I’ll drop by at the grocery to buy the ingredients.”
Kristel ended the call without waiting for Calvin’s reply. She thanked her parents and hurried out.
Eliza and Hector were both dumbfounded when their daughter suddenly left. She arrived and went like a whirlwind. The couple shared a look, and both shrugged a shoulder.
Meanwhile, the Department Manager standing before the CEO’s desk almost peed in his pants, listening to his boss yelling over the p
phone.
He dared not move, but his eyes searched for Cory, hoping he could ask the guy why the boss summons everyone early Sunday morning. Yes, it’s af*ckin‘ weekend!
