Ryan’s POV
I walked into the jail to see my best friend and future Beta, Carter waiting for me by Jane’s cell door.
“Ryan,” Carter said. I knew he was worried about what I planned to do to his sister. He knew I could punish her with death for going after my Mate, who is the future Luna of this Pack.
“Move out my way, Carter,” I growled.
“Wait, man, please let me know what you plan on doing to my sister. Are you planning on killing her?” Carter asked
“You dare to question me after what Jane tried to do to my Mate. You saw her and know what her intentions were,” I replied
“I know, but please don’t kill her. She is my sister and is in love with you, Ry. You know that.” Carter said.
“What is going on here?” I turned to see my father walking my way. He was walking with Carter, Jane’s parents and two other men I knew were part of the Werewolf Council.
“What the hell was the werewolf Council doing here?” I wondered.
“I was going to interrogate the prisoner,” I said
“I am afraid we can’t let you do that,” One of the Werewolf Council Members, Dan, said

“And why is that?” I asked
“Because the prisoner’s parents have informed us that you are mistreating the prisoner because of your history with her,” Dan said
“What? That is not true,” I replied
“Is it true that the prisoner is Jane Smith?” Dan asked
“Yes, that is true. What does that have to do with anything?” I replied
“Is it also true that Jane Smith is the she–wolf you were planning on making your Luna in a Month since you hadn’t found your Mate? Then, the same day you told her you would make her your Luna, you found your Mate?” Dan asked
“Yes, that is true,” I said
“Why don’t we take this conversation to my office,” My dad said
“Sure, Alpha Lee,” Dan said, and we headed to my dad’s office.
“Will someone please tell me what my past with Jane has to do with anything,” I asked.
“Jane Smith’s parents called the Werewolf Council and told us that you locked her up in a cell and are planning on punishing her because your Mate is not happy you were about to choose Jane as your Luna,” Dan said. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.
“That makes no sense. My Mate is human and didn’t know about werewolves or Mates until Jane attacked her and shifted in front of her with the intention of killing my Mate,” I replied

“That is not true. My daughter and his Mate were becoming friends. Violet and Jane were even doing a project with each other in class. I believe the young Alpha told his Mate the truth about them being Mates, and she got upset that he was with my daughter before meeting her,” Jane’s mom said, and I growled.
“That is not true. I told Violet last night after I saved her from Jane attacking her. You can even ask Carter. He saw everything,” I said, and everyone looked at Carter.
“Is that true? Did you see what happened?” Dan asked
“I saw my sister was in wolf form, and Violet was scared,” Carter said
“Did Jane harm your future, Luna?” Dan asked
“No. I got there before anything could happen. She didn’t touch our future, Luna,” Carter said.
“See, Jane didn’t do anything wrong. How do we not know that she was only trying to show our future Luna her wolf?” Jane’s mom asked, and I couldn’t help but laugh.
“You know just as well as I do that Jane shifted because she was upset I chose my Mate over her. She was planning on harming my Mate. She deserves to be punished,” I growled.
“This is ridiculous. I am not trying to disrespect our future Alpha, but my daughter should not be punished because he was tired of waiting for his Mate and decided to make my daughter Luna only to change his Mate when his Mate showed up. Jane has done nothing wrong and doesn’t deserve to be punished for his mistakes,” Jane’s mom said, and I growled.

“How dare you speak about me like that? Your daughter is the one that tried to hurt my Mate, and you are trying to make up a story, so she doesn’t get punished. She deserves to be turned into a Rogue or killed for what she did,” I growled.
“ENOUGH,” my dad growled in his Alpha tone, causing everyone to become quiet. “I need to speak with the werewolf council alone. Everyone else can leave,” My dad said, and we all got up and left.
Carter, his parents, and I waited in the hallway of my father’s office until he was done speaking to the Werewolf Council. I was upset that Jane’s parents had the nerve to accuse me of lying on her because of our past. She is the one that attacked my Mate. I was also mad at Carter because he knew what his sister was planning on doing to my Mate. She wanted to kill Violet, and Carter knew it, but he was trying to protect her from being killed or turned Rogue.
“You can all come back in,” My father said, and we all headed into my father’s office while the Council Members left after saying goodbye to my dad.
“Carter, his parents, and I entered my dad’s office and sat across from him at his desk.
“So, are you going to let my daughter go? It is obvious she is being wrongfully accused,” Jane’s mom asked, and I growled.
“There is no way she is getting away with hurting my Mate,” I said
“I have spoken with the Council Members about what happened, and I have come up with a conclusion. Jane will be punished, but she will not be turned into a Rogue or killed since no one

saw what happened besides Violet and Jane. Jane will be placed on kitchen duty and do community service for a month,” My dad said
“What? That is not enough after what she did to my Mate and a future Luna,” I growled.
“Thanks so much, Alpha Lee. I am happy you understand,” Jane’s dad said
“That is not all. You, as well as Jane, will be kicked out of the Packhouse. I will find another house for you away from the Packhouse, and I don’t want Jane anywhere near Violet,” My dad said
“But we have lived there our whole lives,” Jane’s dad said.
“I have made my decision, and it’s final,” My dad growled in his Alpha voice.
“Yes, Alpha,” Jane’s dad said
“You can leave and pack your things. I will have a guard let Jane out of the cell and take her to your new home. Also, there better not be any other issues with Violet and Jane. If anything else happens, Jane will be punished with the maximum punishment,” My dad said.
“Yes, Alpha. I promise there will be no other issues,” Jane’s dad said, and they left my dad’s office.
“Dad, you know Jane meant to hurt Violet,” I said
“I know that is why you need to watch out for her. There is one other thing we need to talk about” My dad said

“What is that?” I asked
“The Werewolf Council is going to be watching the Pack for a while. Apparently, they are worried about the way you are going to treat the she–wolves you were intimate with before finding out Violet was your Mate,” My dad said
“What? That is crazy,” I replied
“I know, but someone called and told them they were worried you would mistreat all the she–wolves you were with before Violet arrived. They said she is upset with you for not waiting for her, and you will treat them poorly to prove to Violet that you love her,” my dad said
couldn’t believe what I was hearing, but I was pretty sure I knew who was calling the Council.
