Chapter 21
“Romeo, shall we go over to my parents?” Giselle asked in a soft and sweet tone.
“Sure,” Rome replied gently.
Giselle held onto Romeo’s arm. As she tumed slightly to glance at Nelly, a trace of malice flashed in her eyes.
Sandra and Casey exchanged a knowing look and smiled as if plonting something,
“Let’s go,” Sandra said.
With that, Casey pulled out a bracelet.
Today’s the perfect time to make Nelly embarrass herself,” Casey said.
As they spoke, they headed toward Nelly.
Meanwhile, Nelly was still waiting for Clover. Her calls even went unanswered.
*Nelly, it’s Giselle’s engagement ceremony today. Don’t you think you should offer your congratulations?” Sandra said with a smile.
“Exactly,” Casey chimed in
Nelly looked at the impatiently. “Sorry, I have no time for that,” she replied coldly.
“Oh, don’t say that. Let me take you there,” Casey said as she reached for Nelly’s hand
What happened next caught Nelly off guard. She realized how skilled some people were at playing innocent.
“Ah! Nelly, don’t!” Casey screamed abruptly
As Casey fell, Sandra seized the moment of distraction and slipped scenething into Nelly’s handbag. She did it swiftly and walked away after that as if nothing had happened
Upon hearing Casey scream, everyone timed toward her. Before Nelly could react, Casey played the victims first
said pitifully.
“Nelly, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to bump into you,” Casey sa
Sandra crouched down to help her up
“Nelly, how could you do that to Casey? All she did was accidentally brush past you! Do you have to push her?” Sandra said in an accusing tone.
“I didn’t,” Nelly defended herself calmly and firmly.
“What’s going on here?” Stanley’s voice carried a hint of anger.
Stanley, Giselle, and the others approached, followed by a curious crowd.
“What happened, Sandra? Giselle asked, feigning concern.
“Giselle, Casey accidentally bumped into Nelly, and Nelly pushed her,” Sandra explained
At this point, the onlookers began to point fingers at Nelly.
“Oh my, she’s so violent!”
“She looks young as well ”
“Imagine what she’ll be like when she grows older. Who knew the Loftin family had a daughter like that.”
The crowd’s criticisms resembled sharp knives percing Nelly’s heart
Romeo gazed at Nelly, and he remembered she used to be gentle,
“Nelly, how could you hit your own classmate?” a young man questioned.
“Exactly,” added a young lady wins a ponytail
As Nelly endured their judgment, her body tensed up. “I already said that she fell on her own. It has nothing to do with me,” she replied coldly. Suddenly, aloud slap rang out,
“You brat! How dare you hit someone in front of so many people! Just imagine what you’ll do next!” Stanley roared.
The crowd looked between Stanley and Nelly. Most of them believed Nelly deserved it
“Mr. Loltin, don’t get so upset.” Romeo tried to mediate the situation
“Dad, I’m sure Nelly didn’t mean it,” Giselle chimed in, feigning to be kind.
“It’s okay, Mr. Loftin. After all, Nelly is your daughter,” Casey said tearfully.
“I don’t have a daughter like her, Stanley declared coldly and decisively. Nelly could only stare blankly at him
