Chapter 15
Her name is already on my household registry,” Matthew sald suddenly. His tone was calm but carried an undeniable firmness
“Damn, this is straight–up abduction!” Julian teased with mock astonishment
Questin couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
Just then, Vetro rushed in hurriedly.
“Mr. Yorke, Mr. Ashford, Mr. Murphy, Mr. Montclair,” he greeted respectfully
“Have you found out who did it?” Matthew asked, his voice cold as ice
“It’s been confirmed that it was Ms. Albright’s sister, sir,” Vetro replied succinctly
“Damn, her sister is downright vicious! Quentin exclaimed in shock,
“What kind of grudge could drive someone to treat their own sister like this?” Damien said, his tone grim.
“I see. This is something Nelly has to decide herself,” Matthew said with a frosty edge in his voice.
“Understood,“Vetro replied respectfully.
Matthew looked up at Vetro, his face icy cold beneath the mask
“For failing to protect Ms. Albright today, go take your punishment,” Matthew ordered, his voice devoid of any warmth.
“Yes, sir,” Vetro answered without hesitation.
Matthew and the others remained in the living room chatting. Suddenly, Damien turned to Matthew as though something had just crossed his mind.
“Does your family know?” he asked seriously.
Matthew’s gaze turned chilling at the question “They don’t need to know,” he replied, his voice sharp enough to cut through the air
“Even if they don’t know now, they might find out later. What will you do then? Julian pressed on.
“Oh you to worried too much. As long as we don’t say anything, how would the Yorke family find out?” Quentin said indifferently.
“If they dare to touch her, I won’t hold back anymore.” Matthew declared, his voice filled with murderous intent.
Damden and Julian exchanged a glance, understanding that he was entirely serious.
While they were talking, Parry suddenly ran downstairs in a panic.
“Mr. Yorke, please come quickly. Ms. Albright is thrashing in bed, and I don’t know what’s wrong,” she said anxiously.
Marthew immediately shot to his feet and bolted upstairs
Damien and Julian exchanged a look and followed him.
“You’re all bad people! You just want to hurt me!” Nelly’s voice trembled as she sobbed.
When Matthew entered the bedroom, he found Melly curled up in the corner like a wounded little animal. The sight tugged at his heartstrings.
“Everyone, out,” he commanded, his tone icy
“Yes, sir,” the maids answered respectfully and quickly left.
“You’re all bad people!” Nelly shouted, her voice still trembling and was filled with fear.
Matthew looked at her and began wallding toward her.
Nelly tried to run, but he caught her swiftly and pulled her into his arms
“Ah! Let me go! You’re a bad man! Let me go!” Her voice was sharp and terrified.
“Nelly, it’s me. Don’t be scared,” Matthew said gently, his voice so tender It was almost unrecognizable.
At these words, Damien and Julian, who were standing at the door, nearly stumbled in shock.
Who could explain how someone who normally spoke in clipped, ky tones was now speaking so softly and warmly?
Looking at Matthew, Nelly felt her fear foexplicably melt away, replaced by an overwhelming sense of grievance. Staring at the mask on Matthew’s face, she soddenly burst into tears.
“Why? Why are you doing this to me? What did I do wrong? I hate all of you! Mom, why did you leave me all alone? I hate everyone!” Nelly sobbed, her cries ripping through the room.
Matthew stared at her, heart aching beyond words. Even the men at the door felt their hearts tighten at the sight of her anguish.
“There, there, don’t cry. I’ll make sure justice is served for you,” Matthew said, his voice low and tinged with cold fury.
Nelly cried herself to exhaustion and eventually fell asleep in his arms. Carefully, he laid her down and tucked her in, gently brushing the hair from her

face.
“You can all leave now,” Matthew said quietly.
Damien and Julian exchange a glance before nodding at each other.
“Alright, we’re heading out. Call me if anything happens with Nelly,” Quentin said.
The men said their goodbyes and left Baycrest Villa.
“It seems like Matt is serious this time,” Damien remarked.
“Obviously. He even pulled Vetro’s tearn to protect Nelly,” Quentin replied.
“As long as he can forget about that person, it’s fine,” Julian said meaningfully.
A bone–deep chill flashed through Damien’s and Quentin’s eyes at Julian’s words.
“Why even bring up that vile woman?” Damien spat angrily.
“She never deserved to be around Matt,” Quentin added coldly.
“Hey, I was just saying,” Julian muttered defensively.
“Don’t mention her around Matt ever again. As far as we’re concerned, she’s dead,” Damien warned.
“Got it.” Quentin and Julian both nodded
“Ugh.” Julian suddenly sighed.
“What now?”
“It’s just

are we really supposed to call Matt’s wife ‘Mrs. Yorke ? It’s going to feel weird since she’s so much younger than us,” Julian said, clearly
Damien’s lips twitched.
“Well, there’s nothing we can do. Since Matt has decided, we’ll treat her with the same respect we give him,” Quentin said.
“By the way, I didn’t drive here Quentin, give me a ride home,” Damien said matter–of–factly.
“Hey, I didn’t drive either,” Julian chimed in. Before Quentin could object, they both climbed into his car.
“Hey, get a cab yourselves, Quentin protested, but the two simply leaned back and closed their eyes, ignoring him. Muttering complaints under his breath, Quentin finally started the car
Elsewhere, Giselle had lost her mind when she learned that Nelly had been taken away. She destroyed everything in her room. Hilda walked in to find the room in shambles.

“Gigi, stop it! You’re pregnant. Be careful, or you’ll hurt the baby,” Hilda wamed
At her mother’s words, Giselle immediately calmed down and placed her hand protectively over her stomach
“Mom, that wretch Nelly was actually rescued,” Giselle said angrily.
“Don’t worry, I know,” Hilda replied.
“What should we do next? As long as Nelly is alive, I can’t rest easy. I’m terrified that one day, Romeo will leave me,” Giselle admitted, her voice trembling with desperation.
Giselle truly loved Romeo. It wasn’t just about taking him from Nelly. She genuinely cared for him.
