Chapter 7
In the rain, a limited edition Rolls–Royce sped past the street.
Mr. Yorke, where to now?” Kai asked respectfully from the driver’s seat
“Back to Bayerest Villa,” Matthew replied coldly. He sat in the backseat with his eyes closed, resting
Suddenly, the car came to an abrupt stop. Matthew’s face darkened as he glared at Kal. “What’s going on?“”
“Apologies, Mr. Yorke, & woman collapsed on the read,” Kai said, lowering his head respectfully,
Matthew frowned, looking irritated. “Go check it out. If she’s alive, get her a cab and send her to the hospital”
“Yes, Mr. Yorke “Kai grabbed an umbrella and stepped out of the car. The rain poured heavily, Even with the umbrella, his clothes were partially
He crouched down beside the unconscious woman. When be turned her over and saw her face, he was startled.
“Isn’t this the person Mr. Yorke wanted me to look into?” Kai thought to himself
He decided to report back to Matthew and returned to the car, knocking on the window. Matthew rolled it down.
“Mr. Yorke, it’s the woman you asked me to look
Before Kai could finish, Matthew had disappeared from the car. When he turned, he saw Matthew kneeling beside the woman, and he hurried over to hold the umbrella for him
Matthew lifted Nelly from the ground, his expression darkening “Nelly, hey. Wake up,” he called anodiously.
Kal peased, looking at Matthew in shock. It was the first time he had ever seen him treating a woman so gently.
“Hurry up and bring the umbrella here! Matiliew barked.
Kai was startled out of his daze and immediately rushed over to hold the umbrella over him.
“Hold it over her,” Matthew ordered coldly
“Mr. Yorke, you’re injured,” Kai said, concerned. However, with just a glare from Matthew, he immediately complied without question.
Matthew carefully lifted Nelly into his arms and placed her in the car. “Get us to Baycrest Villa in ten minutes,” he ordered, and Kai hit the gas Immediately.
Matthew turned on the car’s beater and dialed a number.
“Quentin,” Matthew said. “I need you at Bayerest Villa in ten minutes, or don’t bother coming back from Nuvelo,” He hung up and looked at Nelly in his anis, his eyes filled with concern.
On the other side of the phone, Quentin was lounging with a woman in his embrace.
“What’s wrong, Mr. Murphy?” the woman asked, snuggling closer.
Upon hearing Matthew’s orders, Quentin jumped out of bed and got dressed. If he were late, he might actually be stuck in Nuvelo for the rest of his life. The woman grabbed his hand as he was about to leave. Annoyed, he shook her hand off “Leave once I’m gone.”
With that, he tossed a card at her before hurrying out
To Quentin, women were mere distractions. They were all after his wealth, power, and looks anyway,
When Matthew arrived at Baycrest Villa, the rain was pouring, heavier than before. With Nelly in his arms, he ran inside
“Abel, have Party prepare some hot tea,” Matthew ordered.
he entered with Nelly, everyone in the villa was shocked. Matthew had never brought a woman back, let alone carried one. Abel Centrall, the butler, didn’t ask any questions and just followed the orders. He knew there would be time for that later. Matthew carried Nelly upstairs, laying her carefully on the bed before covering her with a blanket.
Kai, who had followed him inside, was stunned. He had never seen Matthew display such tenderness.
Who would have expected Matthew, a clean freak who hates well, to care so much about a woman! “Where is Quentin? Why isn’t he hete yet?” Mattliow yelled.
“I’m here, I’m here….” Quentin said, struggling to catch his breath. He had burst into the room bolding a first aid kid in his hand, his hair disheveled. “Check if she has a fever,” Matthew ordered.
When Quentin walked over to Nelly, his eyes widened in surprise. He was already surprised to see the files earlier that day. Now, Matthew even brought her back to his villa. It was unbelievable

Seeing Quentin frozen in place, Matthew impatiently kicked him.
“Damn it! Don’t do that.” Quentin grumbled, pouting as he rubbed his leg
“Check on her. Now!” Matthew demanded, his tone sharp
As Quentin examined Nelly, he realized that she was petite and frail. He couldn’t help but think Matthew was too old for Nelly. But of course, he’d never dare to say it to him. The consequences would be too severe.
While Quentin worked, Matthew turned to Kai. “Find out what happened to her tonight.”
“Yes, Mr. Yorke,” Kal replied respectfully.
Soon after Kai left, Quentin finished his examination
“She has a slight fever,” Quentin said. “Here’s some medicine. Just make sure she takes it.”
“Will it work?” Matthew asked coldly.
“You can doubt anything, but don’t question my medical skills,” Quentin replied, slightly annoyed.
Matthew didn’t respond. Instead, he went back to Nelly.
At that moment, Patty Morrow, the housekeeper, entered the room. “Mr. Yorke, here’s the tea.”
“Give it to me,” Matthew said, reaching for the cup, and Patty handed it over to him.
“Have a hot bath ready for her later so that she doesn’t catch a cold,” Matthew instructed.
“Yes, Mr. Yorke,” Patty replied and left the room.
Quentin was once again taken aback by Matthew’s concern. He felt as if he was seeing things.
Matthew carefully fed Nelly the medicine. As Quentin observed him, he was unsure whether he should be impressed or concerned.
To be a powerful person, one must not have a weakness. The moment the person showed any vulnerability, no matter how strong they were, it could eventually lead to their downfall.
Quentin stared at Nelly, not in curiosity, but with a piercing gaze that radiated hostility.
After feeding Nelly the medicine, Matthew ordered the maids to give Nelly a bath. Since there were no women’s clothes in the house, he lent Nelly a set of pajamas he had never worn
Once they left the room, the atmosphere around Matthew became tense. He stood before Quentin and looked at him sternly.
“Don’t hurt ber,” Matthew warned
