Chapter 6 It’s All Chaim’s Fault
From the moment Samara entered the room to the moment she left, it had been less
than ten seconds. As Chaim watched her leave, his face gradually turned gloomy.
He reached out to take the divorce agreement on the desk. Samara had signed it on one
side, and she left it for Chaim to sign.
The agreement was not long, and it was just one piece of paper. Under the terms of the agreement, Chaim didn’t need to share any of his property with Samara.
After reading the agreement, Chaim could not help but give a mocking smile.
He was surprised at the terms.
Chaim wondered why Samara was confident that she could live a good life without him.
He gritted his teeth.
He thought, Samara, well, show me your intentions! I don’t believe you will divorce me like this tomorrow.
Chaim looked sullen, and he directly tore the divorce agreement apart.
When Reid came in, he saw Chaim standing in front of the floor–to–ceiling window and smoking. Being dressed in a black suit, Chaim looked aloof. Reid hesitated before speaking.
However, the meeting was important. Reid could only pluck up the courage to say, “Mr. Humphrey, the meeting at ten o’clock has begun.”
Hearing his words, Chaim, who stood in front of the window, turned around. His eyes were so sharp and cold that Reid could hardly remain calm when being glanced at by
him.
“I see.
Chaim frowned slightly. He stubbed the cigarette out and then threw it into the garbage bin beside him. He walked past Reid and left the office.

Clearly, Chaim was in a bad mood,
Reid suddenly felt miserable for the one who would take charge of the meeting later.
It only took Samara about seven minutes to talk about the divorce with Chaim.
Throughout the whole process, she was calm. It turned out that she was not heart–wrenching at all.
It was probably because Chaim always let her down, and she seemed to have given up on
him.
She went out of Ansoft Technology and looked up at the gloomy sky. She felt a little bitter, but she was less depressed than before,
She regretted not listening to Gisselle and getting divorced earlier.
Samara withdrew her gaze and walked to the car to knock on the car door.
Gisselle, who was talking on the phone, opened the car door as soon as she saw Samara.
Samara got into the car and did not say a word.
Just as she fastened her seat belt and looked up, Gisselle handed her a phone.
“Who is it?” Samara raised her eyebrows.
“Your father.”
Samara took the phone and asked before being stunned for a moment, “Dad, how is everything?”
“It has been three years since you left home. When do you plan to come back?”
What she had experienced occurred to Samara suddenly. She recalled how Chaim forced her to kneel the night before yesterday and how she put down the divorce agreement just now. She spared no effort to stay strong in front of Chaim. However, she failed to hold back her tears anymore when hearing her father Kadin Novak care for her.
Her parents and almost everyone who was concerned about her didn’t consent to her marriage to Chaim three years ago. However, she was too young to distinguish if a man
loved her or not. In her mind, given Chaim wanted to marry her, he must have feelings
toward her.
However, she had to admit that she was wrong three years later.
It turned out that Samara underestimated Chaim’s cruelty. He married Samara not because he loved her or because he admired her. All he cared about was another woman. To protect her, he even exploited his marriage and injured Samara, who was innocent and loved him deeply.
Samara wondered, what a fool I am! I didn’t find out that Chaim’s beloved woman was Serena until now. How ridiculous it is! He has been falling in love with his
sister–in–law.
He married me merely to hide his true feelings.
Samara couldn’t help feeling regretful that she had quarreled with her family and left home due to such a man. Back then, Kadin, who had never been angry at her, said, “Samara, if you insist on marrying him, you are no longer my daughter.”
Samara suddenly cried. She was afraid that Kadin would hear it on the other end, so she went all out to suppress her crying. However, no matter how hard she tried, she was unable to forget all the things she had suffered over the past three years. Gisselle saw her thin shoulders shaken by a sob.
“Samara…”
Gisselle felt bitter as she watched from the side. She and Samara had known each other since their childhoods. As a member of the Novak family, Samara was arrogant and proud. Gisselle had never seen her crying like this.
It was all Chaim’s fault.
