If he ordered her to copy the texts, she had to do it, or he’d find a hundred ways to make her life even more miserable.
After Charley was gone, Curtis Hart walked over. “Nathaniel has become a wife–protector.

Nathaniel snorted at Curtis’s remark. “Are you Jealous? I heard you signed a new actress and are so invested in her that I almost thought I should call her sister–in–law.”

Sofia’s grip tightened on her fork, holding back laughter at Nathaniel’s comment.

Sofia didn’t even dare to think about it.
The thought was absurd, yet Curtis’s attention to Sylvia could indeed be misleading.
Curtis laughed at Nathaniel’s words.
“Oh, Nathaniel is concerned about me,” Curtis said with a cheeky smile.
“You know, my company has the most female actresses. If you want a sister–in–law, you might have trouble keeping track.”
Curtis’s notorious reputation meant many actresses, and even actors, tried to get close to him to boost their careers.
He wasn’t ashamed of this reputation, quite the contrary.
Older Mr. Hart, however, was furious. He threw his fork at Curtis.
“Do you hear yourself? I let you run an entertainment company, not for such immoral. purposes! If a woman shows up here claiming to be pregnant with your child, I’ll break your legs!”
Curtis picked up the fork and feigned concern. “Grandpa, that’s not very likely. You should prepare yourself for the worst, just in case.”
Older Mr. Hart, even angrier, shouted, “Gregory! Bring my cane. I’m going to teach this rascal a lesson!”
He wouldn’t let Curtis ruin the family’s reputation.
Curtis, seeing Nathaniel smirking, realized his grandpa was venting his frustration from Nathaniel onto him.

Older Mr. Hart snorted, “You’re not young anymore. Learn from your brother. Look how happy Nathaniel is with Sofia. And you? You’re a mess!”

“Grandpa, don’t just focus on me. What about our eldest brother? If he doesn’t get married soon, he’ll be an old bachelor.”
Older Mr. Hart, thinking of his eldest grandson, grew even more irritated.
That one didn’t want to take on family responsibilities or have children, and had run off overseas, living in a different season from them.
“If he stays single, so be it. Even if he’s gay, I don’t mind. But you, you can’t let your younger brother surpass you too much. Or else, you’ll be in trouble!”
