loe listened to Daniel’s words and decided to chalk it up to him being drunk and talking nonsense. nce he sobered up, she would act like this whole incident had never happened. She also resolved to be ore careful in the future and avoid seeing Daniel as much as possible to keep things from becoming ore complicated. She didn’t want things to get messy.
Il pretend you’re just drunk and babbling. Don’t say such things again, and I’ll act like I never heard them. > home, and I’ll leave now,” Chloe said, her tone cold and distant. Compared to their earlier
nversations, she didn’t even want to speak to him anymore, making her feelings of rejection clear.
aniel was surprised by how cold Chloe had become. He had prepared himself for rejection, but he hadn’t pected her to be this adamant. Chloe was giving him no chance at all. He realized he had acted too istily.
> Daniel instinctively reached out to stop her and say something more, a sudden gust of wind struck him ; Julian punched him square in the face.
ilian appeared out of nowhere, his eyes red with fury, fists clenched as he glared at Daniel.
e had overheard Daniel’s confession and was seething with rage. He had barely been able to hold mself back from charging in immediately. How dare Daniel do this?
aniel, are you insane? She’s my woman, and you dare confess to her? Do you even consider me your end?” Julian shouted, his anger palpable.
he way Daniel had looked at Chloe, with such deep affection, infuriated Julian. How dare he look at
hloe like that?
nd this wasn’t just some fleeting desire. Julian realized Daniel had been harboring feelings for Chloe for long time. How long had this betrayal been going on without him knowing?
ulian’s anger boiled over. He had considered Daniel his closest friend, yet Daniel had secretly been ursuing Chloe, the woman he still saw as his. It was absurd, insulting, and completely unacceptable.
aniel, feeling the sting from the punch, rubbed his face and looked back at Julian with defiance.
Ve’re friends, sure, but what’s wrong with me pursuing the woman I like? You were the one who didn’t >preciate her when you had the chance,” Daniel retorted. “Besides, you two broke up, didn’t you? She’s ee to love whoever she wants, and I can pursue whoever I want. This has nothing to do with you.”
ilian clenched his fists, barely holding back his rage. He turned his frustration toward Chloe. “You really e something, aren’t you? You couldn’t even leave my best friend alone. We’ve known each other for ars, but you still had to go and seduce him. Are you that desperate for a man, or do you just enjoy atching two men fight over you?”
nloe’s eyes widened in shock. She had never expected Julian to speak to her with such venom and filth
his words.
he hadn’t done anything to deserve this. From the beginning, she had refused Daniel, giving him no hope. et Julian was placing all the blame on her without knowing the full story.
hloe’s body trembled, both with anger and hurt. She had done nothing wrong but was now being treated s if she had.
aniel, seeing the unfairness of it all, snapped at Julian. “What happened between us is none of your usiness. You and Chloe are no longer together. If I choose to pursue her, it’s up to me. You’re just her ex ow, so stop acting like you have any claim over her.”

Julian ignored Daniel and glared at Chloe instead. “Don’t you have anything to say for yourself? You’ve been getting close to my friend, and now he’s confessed to you. Do you really have nothing to explain to me? If you hadn’t been seducing him, would any of this have happened?”
Chloe was speechless, her face pale from shock. Julian’s accusations were cruel and unfounded.
Daniel, seeing Chloe’s distress, interjected. “It’s me who likes Chloe. I’m the one pursuing her. Stop blaming her for this. And don’t you dare try to reduce her to some manipulative woman. She has nothing to do with you anymore.”
But Julian wasn’t listening. His anger got the better of him, and he threw another punch at Daniel, landing squarely on his face.
“You’re such a traitor! You knew about my history with Chloe, yet you still went after her. How could you betray me like this?!” Julian shouted.
Dazed from the punch, Daniel shielded Chloe behind him, worried that Julian might lose control and hurt
her too.
“So what?” Daniel taunted. His protective stance over Chloe only made Julian angrier. How dare Daniel
act like this in front of him?
“You can’t. You know exactly what our relationship means. What you’re doing is a betrayal,” Julian growled.
“How am I betraying you? You and Chloe are over. I’m free to pursue her if I want. What’s wrong with
that?” Daniel shot back.
“The relationship between Chloe and me isn’t over until *I* say it is!” Julian yelled, his rage spilling over. He lunged at Daniel again, but this time Daniel didn’t flinch.
Daniel laughed bitterly. “You’re the one who said it yourself–that you and Chloe were done. Now you want to blame me? How convenient.”
