Chapter 49: No Escape
Julian’s movements were rough and forceful, causing Chloe to jolt in terror.
“Please, don’t do this. Can’t we just talk?” she pleaded, her entire body trembling.
Chloe could tell that Julian wasn’t holding back this time, but no matter how much she struggled, her strength was no match for his
Julian ignored her entirely, his hand slipping beneath her shirt, moving upward. Chloe resisted with all her might, but he switched tactics, now tugging at her pants.
His actions filled Chloe with a mix of disgust and fear. He had truly lost his mind. Tears welled up in her eyes as she screamed, “Stop! What’s wrong with you? You have so many women around you. You could have anyone! Why are you doing this to me? We don’t have any relationship anymore!”
Desperate to make him see reason, Chloe shouted, “If you really want someone, I can call Layla for you! I’m sure she’d be more than happy to come over!”
But something in Chloe’s words only seemed to provoke Julian further. He forcefully ripped her pants down.
“Ah!” Chloe cried out, tears spilling down her cheeks. “Please don’t do this.”
Her tear–streaked face and resistance only awakened the darkest part of Julian. The more she fought, the ΠΟΛ
it fueled his twisted desire.
“Why are you resisting? After all, we’ve been together for years. We’ve done everything there is to do. Why are you pretending like you don’t want this?” Julian spat out in a low growl.
“You want me to remind you what you looked like underneath me? This is just to satisfy you. We’ve been apart for so long, you must miss it, right?”
Julian’s breath was ragged, his eyes dark with intent. Chloe’s wide, horrified eyes stared back at him. How could he say such vile things?
Julian towered over her, gripping her chin harshly. “What value do you have without me? Do you think anyone would look at you the same way after knowing we were together for so long? You’re nothing without me!”
Chloe’s tears fell faster. She pushed against him, but her efforts were useless. She thought she had known Julian–had loved him with all her heart, believed he had loved her too. But now, all of that felt like
a lie.
For the first time, Chloe realized she had never truly understood who Julian was. The man in front of her was a stranger, someone she had never fully seen.
Seeing her tremble in fear seemed to give Julian a twisted sense of satisfaction.
Admit it–you still want me,” he sneered before lowering his head to forcefully kiss her. Chloe twisted away, but Julian only grew more aggressive, tearing at her clothes.
At first, Chloe struggled with all her strength, but soon she realized her efforts only made things worse. Julian’s desire for control seemed to escalate with every move she made. A wave of despair crashed over her. No matter what she did, she couldn’t escape.
She tried to convince herself it didn’t matter, tried to pretend she was just enduring something Insignificant, but the pain in her soul made it impossible
Just when Chloe thought there was no way out, Julian was suddenly ripped away from her.

She opened her eyes to see Wyatt. He had thrown Julian off her and into the bookshelf with such force that Julian had no time to react.
Wyatt had been waiting outside, growing increasingly concerned when Chloe didn’t return. Something had felt off, so he decided to check on her.
Now, he was grateful he had. If he hadn’t come in, God knows what could have happened.
Wyatt had walked into a scene that enraged him–Chloe pinned beneath Julian, her clothes torn, her face streaked with tears.
Julian’s rough actions and Chloe’s cries were seared into his mind. The sight shattered the last shred of
his restraint..
He quickly took off his jacket and wrapped it around Chloe.
“Are you okay? Chloe, look at me. Are you alright?”
Chloe was in a daze, unable to respond, too overwhelmed to process what had just happened. Wyatt’s voice pulled her back, his hands gently shaking her as he called her name.
“Chloe? Chloe, can you hear me?”
After what felt like an eternity, Chloe finally snapped out of it. She blinked, staring up at Wyatt.
Wyatt sighed in relief, gently patting her back as he pulled her into a comforting embrace.
“It’s okay now. You’re safe. No one will hurt you anymore. I’m here.”
“Wyatt… you
His words gave Chloe the strength to break down completely. Tears poured from her eyes, and she nodded, clutching his jacket tightly around herself.
Julian had recovered, and the sight of Wyatt holding Chloe enraged him further. His expression twisted with fury. How dare they be so close in front of him? Did they think he was nothing?
Finally, Julian recognized Wyatt–it was the man he had seen with Chloe before.
“So, this is what it’s about, huh? Chloe, as soon as we broke up, you’ve had a line of men waiting for you. You must feel so satisfied, right?”
Before he could spew more venom, Wyatt’s fist connected with his face, cutting him off mid–sentence. Julian, livid, tried to retaliate, but Wyatt was quicker. He blocked Julian’s swing, his calm demeanor unwavering.
“You think you can hit me?” Julian shouted. “Where were you when Chloe and I were in love? You weren’t even around! You’re nothing!
The more Julian ranted, the more despicable his words became, but Wyatt remained calm, knowing that losing control wouldn’t help.
Wyatt’s voice was icy as he responded. “It doesn’t matter what you think I am. What matters is that you’re
pathetic excuse for a man–a man who can’t let go and a man who almost co
