Chapter 58
Having spent years by Frank’s side, Emma had developed a deep understanding of real estate.
This was Amberwood Estates, an exclusive villa district where only the most powerful and influential could reside. Even having money wasn’t enough to secure a property here. The threshold for entry was so high that it kept most people out. Yet Gabriel actually owned a property here.
Emma instinctively turned to look at him, the confusion in her gaze growing. Just what kind of background did Gabriel have?
She paused for a few seconds. Just as she was about to ask him, she received a call from her overseas property management.
Emma frowned. She had already settled everything abroad. There shouldn’t be any reason for them to contact her. Still, to be cautious, she picked up the call. “Hello, this is Emma speaking.” “Ms. Dyer? A gentleman named Frank Castro is here to see you.”
Frank?
Emma’s expression instantly darkened as she chewed her lip. What was the point of Frank running back and forth between the two countries? Was show that he was capable of extreme care and attention to any woman?
Emma’s expression turned cold as she replied icily, “Turn him away. He’s been harassing me for a long time. Don’t let him in again.”
With that, she hung up without hesitation. Her grip on her phone tightened, her gaze growing icier by the second.
Gabriel gave her an unreadable look. “Emma, from today onward, this is your home. Stay as long as you want.”
to prove his so–called deep love? To
His words snapped her out of her daze. She looked at him, her heart subtly trembling. “This is a villa district. It’s inconvenient to hail a cab here. It’ll be a hassle getting to work. Maybe I should just rent a place near the office-”
Gabriel interrupted her with a light smile, saying, “Emma, this place is only a five–minute walk from your new company.”
Amberwood Estates was just a street away from the business district. Thanks to excellent urban planning, it was close to the city’s hustle but remained peaceful and secluded.
With this, Emma had no reason to refuse anymore.
After spending a night settling in, Emma headed to her new workplace the next day, stepping into the company as the newly appointed executive CEO.
This company was the Keyston branch office of Summerton Group, an international corporation. Thanks to her outstanding achievements in Steistan over the past two years, Summerton Group specifically invited Emma to take charge of their Keyston branch as the executive CEO.
This was a golden opportunity.
It was also the first major stepping stone Emma had secured after completing her studies at Eastside University. There was no way she would let it slip by.
Dressed professionally, she exuded competence in a sleek yet elegant business suit that accentuated her tall, slender frame.
When she arrived at the office, she quickly drew attention. People whispered among themselves, trying to guess her position. But when Emma stepped into the CEO’s office on the top floor, the secretarial team was utterly stunned.
Their executive CEO turned out to be a young woman! She looked no different from a university student!
Emma wasted no time familiarizing herself with the company’s operations. Soon after, she led her first executive meeting.
As she entered the conference room, she immediately noticed several key personnel from the Keyston branch sitting idly, fiddling with pens dismissively. Their body language alone made it clear that they doubted her abilities.
Emma swept her gaze across the languid and indifferent group, then slammed the meeting document onto the table with a sharp thud. “As employees of the newly established Summerton Group branch office in Keyston, is this the level of professionalism you bring to our very first meeting?”
